Fantastic review. Great moment with son. Much respect to preserving and respecting the observing sight. I wish my fellow Americans had this much respect of nature.

Thank you for your comment. I'd like to go on to cherish my family and irreplaceable nature.
I think I'm about to get this telescope, it's my first one and I've been wanting one my whole life. So excited to start stargazing and eventually astrophotography!
You said the OTA is plastic, correct? and also the mirror prism housing?

Well I got this scope and it didn't come in the best condition and it wasn't what I expected. I couldn't get my adjustable arms to stay on so I used a flathead screwdriver to tighten them and the heads broke off. I'm sending it back for a new one. :(
Hi bosco, I want to buy Takahashi basic telescope for astrophotography from Melbourne Australia, Directly from makers of telescope, no dealers I want , the link when open up is written in Japanese, I apologies in advance as their website is in Indigenous language( japanese). and I barely understand hence my preference shifts to Products from west as I am a beginner and hence want to buy best product . If you could guide a beginner like me.

Thank you for your comment. There is certainly no English version on Takahashi's official website. Not only Takahashi, but all Japanese SMEs are lagging behind in globalization. (Global business administration has not been emphasized for some time.) First of all, please refer to the website created by Takahashi dealers in Europe. takahashi-europe.com/
