I’m kinda quality time (but starting to lean more towards acts of service as I get older) and physical touch. For me, PT is feeling safe. I would want to grab his arm when walking through a crowd, have his hand on the back of my neck to calm me, or if we are sitting down, him holding my hand and rubbing it. Little subtle things…and for acts of service, having him step up and take the lead to handle things that need to be done, even if it’s as simple as ordering our food because I have a hard time deciding. Being single currently, I have to do EVERYTHING by myself and handle car issues, house issues, etc alone. And that can be exhausting. So I look forward to my future husband saying, “ Yeah don’t worry. I got that.” 🙏🏽😌

I would say my primary love language is acts of service. I find it so helpful if my husband just asks me “is there anything I can help you with?” Or just does things he sees I haven’t gotten around to that day... especially if I’m feeling overwhelmed. That makes me feel cared for. My husband’s love language is definitely physical affection. I’m not always the most physically affectionate person so I have to make an effort throughout the day to remember to give hugs and hold hands because it doesn’t come naturally for me! Loving this series 🌷🌻

Touch: when he kisses the back of my neck when I’m cooking dinner it makes me feel so appreciated and loved. Acts: when he fills up my car with gas or checks the fluids, it is such loving gesture. Also if he notices in the car that I’m a little cold and he adjusts the climate control or other gestures that show he cares about my comfort really make me feel loved. Words don’t hold a lot for me. People say a lot of things they don’t mean. I appreciate it when he shows me instead.

My main love language is acts of service by far and also physical touch. My husband is the same. For me, I feel the most loved when my husband does acts of service that I don’t ask him to do, but he does anyways when he senses that it’s something that would make my life a little easier. My husband and I have a traditional marriage, so everyday we naturally are doing things for each other, so it’s doing that extra thing every once in awhile to say “I’m still in tuned with you and what you need.” For example, if the previous night I mention that I have a headache and am going to bed early, and the next morning when I normally wake up with the baby he offers to get up with him to allow me to sleep in. Little things like that really go a long way. If you notice your husband is having a rough day, wake up a little early the next morning and make him his favorite breakfast or do something you know he would really appreciate. My husband LOVES a good meal, so that would really make him happy. I think the key thing is being able to sense what your partner needs without them asking, or if you are really good, acting before they even realize they needed that act of service. Again, this can be little things like noticing your husband hasn’t drank much water all day and he has been working hard outside and you bring him a nice cold lemonade. Just doing little extra things here and there and trying to stay in tuned with your spouses needs without them having to ask is a great way to show love via acts of service. That’s what works for me and my hubs. Hope this helps :) great video btw :)

My primary is Acts of Service. Secondary is Quality time. As far as acts of service, I love it when my husband does things like putting away the food after I've cooked or doing/putting away the dishes after a meal. Even just making my coffee or helping me cook (this also doubles as quality time. Two birds with one stone!)

My two love languages are physical touch and a split between words of affirmation/ or acts of service… so what makes me feel loved is like when they’re willing to sit right beside me and have a physical connection in some way, whether we’re leaning on one another or they’re holding me. Like I don’t really want them to hold me while I’m working on something because that’s just a hindrance but when it’s just calm and we’re lounging having that physical contact reassures me that they want me there with them. An act of service to me is just anything they do for me that they don’t have to but they choose to do it (without complaining or making it known that they’re only doing this begrudgingly because you want it). So getting up to refill my water, changing my oil I my car, or ordering my food for me because it makes me anxious. It doesn’t have to be big at all and I still see it and appreciate and it makes me feel loved.

One of my love languages is physical touch and this comment above is spot on! I want that person to sit right next to me. I don’t believe in personal space lol. They can play with my hair or put their hand on my hand. ☺️

I’m a PT person too and now becoming more acts of service. I SO understand you about the ordering food. I had some guys do that when I was on a date and it was so reassuring because I struggle sometimes with knowing what I want. Also, holding onto his arm/hand in a crowd gives me a safe feeling because I get anxious if it’s too crowded. I’m praying so diligently that my future husband understands this and is open to this 🙏🏽❤️

This is so funny and interesting because my husband literally always says when I sit down in a chair opposite him, “you should sit beside me so we’re touching.” It never really clicked until I read this that it’s because he’s physical touch! 😂 thank you so much for the insights! ❤️

Physical touch is my #1 love language. The best ways to make me feel loved are hugs and cuddles. This goes for my friendships too. I would be having a rough day and feel like I need to be cuddle and my best friend would just get on the couch and we would hold each other and talk. I feel like that's both Physical touch AND quality time!

My love language is touch, my husband always hugs me and gives me a kiss before he leaves the house as well as when he gets home. I do feel a bit lonely when he is at work so knowing i will get affection when he gets home really makes waiting and being patient worth it. I also love your videos, i am blessed to have found your channel.thank you

My love language is quality time and my husband is act of service as well. I ask him sometimes to write a list of things that i can do to make him feel loved. And he seems to like that. His favourite act of sevice is for me to watch the kids so he can do the things he likes to do.

Love these tools and your videos! God is at work in them, friend. My primary love language is acts of service and physical touch as well. Gentle touches, holding hands, a long kiss, and a hug go a long way for me. My husband asking how he can help me today means the world. Him just knowing some of the things I need to do that day and doing one of them for me or just helping me with something on my to-do list is awesome. If you see him working on something and you have time .. ask if he needs help. Maybe ask him a chore he hates and take it on for him every now and then ❤️

My love languages are quality time and physical touch. In the past I know holding hands, touching, RANDOM (out of the blue) kisses, hugs, cuddles. Also, I'm not sure if this is true for me now but in the past if I was having a serious argument with a boyfriend, I wanted to be as close as possible or have some form of physical touching, almost in a sense getting a reassurance that they still love me and that everything will be okay in spite of things. I don't know if that is something your husband would wish for you to do if you guys are having an argument or a serious discussion, but it's something to consider, and even ask him about? Who knows. Also, I love watching this one couple at my church who exemplifies the "being your spouse's buddy" thing, and he will have his arm around her shoulder at church, and it gives me "awe, they love each other" feels. Hope that was helpful.
