I've only tried Jad once. Cruised through all the waves using Guthans to heal, got to Jad with about 3/4 of my supplies left. Misclisked my prayers when healers came out and I got 1 hit. Haven't been back since due to how long it takes to get to Jad. This video makes me want to try again this weekend though, thanks!

Died at jad like 4 times, went and did this, killed the stronger jad first try, went back and did jad right after and finished. this was a HUGE help. Being on task is great too. 75 range for blowpipe, amethyst darts until the round before jad when I switched to dragon darts. My pray fell to 0 once and i tanked a 0 hit luckily but got through it! Also used Lightbearer ring with blowpipe for the spec heals.

Thank you for the guide on how to fight Jad! I got discouraged after getting to Jad twice and being instantly killed on arrival, then someone mentioned that I should watch this guide and practice the boss. After 6+ failed attempts, I was able to kill Jad in the practice room and after 10+ successful kills in the practice room I was confident enough to go back to the caves. And you're right - killing the boss in the practice room is harder than he is in the caves! Your comment at 10:00 regarding the healers honestly helped keep me calm during the fight. Before, I thought that I had to kill them, but leaving them alive and just pulling their attention off Jad actually worked out for me very well. I wasn't able to use your tip on pulling the healers through Jad, though, my Jad-hands were shaking so badly that I couldn't properly switch tabs, so I didn't trust myself on a melee prayers swap.

I started playing as a 1def pure back in 07 or earlier and never tried Jad on a pure. Fast forward to now when I'm boss prepping and i need that firecape. I've avoided Jad for as long as i can remember. I wished for a tool like this for SO long and was thinking of downloading a private server to practice jad with. This is super helpful! Thank you.

Used this guide to get my first kiil, practicing Jad was a huge help. Practiced till I could beat Jad 3x in a row, then did the caves. For me, the biggest revaluation was hiding enemies behind each other, so I could prioritize killing the magers instead of being stuck in a safe spot killing melee and wasting prayer. Lost two attempts in the 50s due to trying to prayer flick, then nailed Jad first attempt. Thanks bro

Dude, this is absolutely GOLDEN! I thank the KZbin gods to show me this video as recommended. I would've certainly failed on my 1st attempt. Even though you know all the tips & tricks on how to do Jad, you still need some real ACTUAL exercise to get it into physical memory so to say. Having your prayer section open all the time instead of your inv was something to get used to as well. 1st run: died 2nd run: success, I killed him! (ran through Jad for the healers part) 3rd run: used melee, success once again! Default to praying melee and always going back to melee pray after hit splat '0' 4rd run: range success once again, now trying to do challenge 2 with 2 jad's: always die very very quickly, theh.

Solid tips on the safespot break, but it was also huge for my first fc back then to just log off and take a breather and then come back. It's so hard to focus on the "intensity" of Jad after you just braindead afked 62waves.

Yeah, I remember my first jad fight ever - I finally got past the waves (which took long enough!) and then literally panicked and couldnt click anything and died instantly. Like seeing Jad in person was so scary lol! Now like 15 years later it's a completely different game, but I know some people never had that "first time"

I’ve been practicing this for almost 2 hours now. I’ve tried resetting to range, resetting to mage, clicking the prayer for what he used, etc. I can get him to healers but by the time I tag all the healers he’s full HP. Seems like it’s so difficult.

Jad getting back to full HP isn't a big deal, the part that's important is that the healers are now aggro'd to you and safespotted behind Jad so they can't spawn again and continue to heal. Don't forget this is also a stronger version of Jad, with an extra healer, and you're likely using worse gear than you would in the main game. A crossbow is 5 ticks vs a blowpipe or chins to tag the healers is a massive difference. Don't worry, you got this.

Thank you, I trained for 2 days and killed jad on my 1st try thanks to this video, I hit all the healers so they were on me but some how they were still healing jad and I couldn’t run through him, like I practised as he was stuck in a wall but I survived and killed each of the one by one. Thanks to my knowledge from training and flicking prays

You start with one in the speedrun worlds. That's the magic of this method. As long as you go into the speedrun worlds and select "Beneath cursed sands", a firecape is GIVEN to you.

Lol the switching back to mage every time is a dumb idea dude. You give yourself a lot more breathing room by leaving the prayer, with some practise you won't mess it up.

Don't rush, enjoy the journey. Work on just getting used to boss fights so your nerves go away, work on getting used to FKeys and make sure you have an inventory setup thats consistent so you always know where your food and pots are without thinking. Scurrius is a good option, just keep trying to prevent all damage each round and once you can consistently do that, Jad should be nothing (audio on helps!!!) Otherwise Sarachnis is also a great option once you're 80ish combat, with a decent mid game upgrade (Cudgel) and like Scurrius you can try to mitigate all damage with perfect play, so you always have a goal each fight, but you're also not overly punished for a mistake while you're learning like you are during the Jad fight. GL Gamer.

@@Josepefj23lop Realistically, the fight is doable at basically any combat level, but will be harder the lower you go. It may take you a few tries, and again I strongly recommend audio on and knowing your hotkeys for inventory/prayer management, but it's definitely doable. My pure is 60 combat and trips last for as long as I have prayer potions, but of course I have a bit more experience so your results will vary. Just don't be afraid to die. It's totally okay as long as you keep trying. Also, the fight gets SIGNIFICANTLY easier once you get any of the rat bone weapons. Like 10x easier because it does more damage to the rat AND it kills spawns faster. But if you have any issues just hmu on twtiter @altfancy

No, but right now (this week) the beta worlds are open which allow you to pick any gear and stats you want to practice Inferno or any other content in the game. Get to it!

Keep trying, the only way you can lose is if you give up. No one celebrates their losses but everyone has them. And remember, in the main game your nerves will be higher, but of course so will your DPS if you're on a slayer task or just have better gear. You can do it. Take your time, focus on one thing at a time to improve upon. Are you not good with FKeys, are you misclicking prayers, etc. Just take it slow and you got this. GL

@@MS-sc5jx I don't remember what I said in the guide honestly, but: NPC Indicators + having the healers tagged so they're easy to see is really good. In the main game the last phase before Jad is two mages so you can pray mage and slowly switch your blowpipe out to dragon darts (bring like 100ish) which will let you out DPS Jad even with the healers, as long as you're on a slayer task. But really, you should figure out how to lure them. Again, main game you can use chins to lure multiple at once, but in practice getting used to the basic formula of: Switching your prayer for JAD Hitting one healer Waiting for next attack is very important to learn the fundamentals. Sound effects also help a ton in this fight specifically. I think i mentioned this in the vid but I always default to praying mage or range, that way i know what im praying and dont accidentally panic and turn my prayer off. If im always praying mage, i know if jad attacks with mage i do nothing and if he attacks with range i click to change prayerrs, wait for the hitsplat to appear, then i go back to mage before doing anything else. again, i have faith in you & im sure you can get it down. the dopamine hit will be legendary.

You can also hit log out once on every wave. Hit logout. Finish the wave. Afk while you chill, grab a drink, regent hp and stamina etc. Log out. Then log back in and start the next wave
