I think I’ve found a better way to practice the release technique. You can do it anytime and anywhere. I have an older bow that I tie a piece of loop rope on to each cam and adjust to it to my full draw length and tie a loop in it. It takes a little time to get it perfectly adjusted. That way you get a feel for the weight of the bow and it only cost you the price of some loop rope. Not my idea, I saw this a long time ago somewhere. Try it, it’s cheaper than the trainer and more realistic in my opinion. The rest of your tips are very good too.

Watch the video- you are punching that thumb button. See your thumb move. Change your grip slightly as you’re holding it like a set of brass knuckles. Open your hand a little. You will probably need to rotate the knob. Try to find a hand position where you’re more relaxed . Might watch “ bow only outdoors “ and see his learning vid on his technique. Or see “ whitetail fit” video on his technique. I have my Carter Wise Choice set with zero travel and enough tension so I can set my thumb on the barrel knob without any fear of it firing. All I need to do is just push very slightly my bow arm and pull straight back and the pressure builds on the barrel. I don’t move my thumb at all. It’s just friction and pressure. Takes a lot of serious blank baling to get it to all come together.. I don’t know how many hours I spent with a string trainer to get the feel I was finally happy with. GOOD LUCK
