Wow! I see this was 2 yrs ago. But the Lord sent this to me just now. June 2024. This week I sent a message asking about praying God's will or not. I sent to your office this week. God sent your message to me! Thank you! For years I have ask the Lord for a gift. Now, at 80, He has given me that gift. To be a prayer Warrior. But I needed to know about Praying in His will. What if my prayer is not His will! I always ask Jesus to take my prayers and make them to His will. If the prayer isn't answered I think I did something wrong. Thank you for reposting this message. That helps me to keeping as I do. I love the Lord, with all my heart. My favorite verses , from a teenager, Prov. 3:5-7 (8). I will keep praying until I get an answer. Then I will know what His will is!

As I have grown in the Lord, I came to a very serious realization… God’s trying to make us like Jesus. The carnal mind is the enemy of God and actually our biggest enemy. It’s not the devil we’re overcoming…it’s our old carnal self. It thinks it’s a god. It wants its way. It will throw temper tantrums if it doesn’t get its way. It thinks it knows best. It thinks what it believes love is and judges God accordingly. God is trying to burn that evil mindset of self reliance out of us. It’s born of pride and is satanic in nature. Once born again, God’s unselfish love is trying to transform our hearts. If we willingly submit ourselves to him. He will never force change in us. I said I’ve come to understand all this. I was so ashamed having realized all the pain Jesus went through for me out of his great love for me only to have me have a ‘you owe me attitude’ that I was so blind to until my heart and eyes were opened to his beauty! God doesn’t owe me anything. It’s a privilege to know him and get to speak with him. I was in awe of him, finally. It was a gigantic life changing experience. I’m just grateful he had mercy on me for my attitude and showed me the truth in love. As I’ve gotten older, the more meaningful my relationship with our beautiful Lord has become, and I honestly came to understand the depths of what Job meant when he said “Though God slay me, yet will I trust him.” It’s because Job had come to love God, unconditionally as well. He wasn’t just using God to answer his prayers. Job had come to know true love. God is making us like Jesus and getting us ready for eternity. This life here is so temporary. How much are we really loving others and joyfully laying down our lives for the lost sheep so they can believe in true love, because we’re showing it? It was through a huge trial of suffering that I finally broke and came to understand the truth of genuine salvation and compassion. Instead of being a stiff hearted complainer in the wilderness…I became like Caleb-Give me that mountain!❤ Love filled my heart and I’ve never been the same. God delivered me from me. Thank God. More than overcomers.

Great sermon. I only wonder about persistence in prayer leading us to understand when something in NOT God's will. How does that happen? Seems that if the answer does not come, we could easily conclude it wasn't God's will, but that is the point of perseverance when the answer does not come, right?

Actually if you listen to the parables of Jesus many of them is about how we - are the one’s that: - take the best seats in the church and forget to be as modest as the poor ones that don’t think they deserve a place. - Don’t wash Jesus feet with our hair. - Are not the sinners and lost cheep. - Are the rich that will have a hard time getting into heaven - don’t answer the invitations to the feast in heaven because we just got married and are busy building a family and life. Can’t come since we have to inspect the field we just bought or the new car. - Are the ones that will not forgive the one in our dept when we were forgiven I also then think in this parable we are the judge that walk passed everyone poor or hurt, or homeless outside our doorsteps or supermarket’s or paths we walk everyday that don’t help them. At least we risk all this if we don’t put god first, take our crosses and follow Jesus, “pray” all the time, or as I think, constantly have a close communication or relationship with god every day. Something like that. What do you guys think?

Better read carefully John 1:10-13,14-18 & see if GOD THE SON is not the DIVINE PERSON who gives you right to become His child-daughter when you receive HIM as your LORD GOD & SAVIOR & ALL IN ALL, Colossians 3:11.
