Practice Trading with Random Bars: Tutorial

We've added two new tools to our Bar Replay feature including the capability to start trading from any point in time, randomly. This way, you can truly practice your trades without knowing what will happen next. The other new feature lets you select a specific starting date, exactly as you type it in.

hello I have noticed an inaccuracy with the replay mode. When I enter trades, I set a take profit and stop loss set a take profit for a certain price, but in the replay mode, the stop loss/TP, does not execute on the price I set but on the high or low of the replay bar. This creates an inaccurate profit and loss calculation. Can you please look into this and also add more detailed performance analysis? Thank you.

Can the trade entry capability be added to the plus button for Paper Trading? This is the preferred method of many people and it would be great to practice with. Thanks.

Can you do buy stops or buy stop limit? Is there a watchlist feature?

The is 1 major flaw with bar reply when it comes to back testing, we need to be able to set limit orders while using the replay feature. Having to market buy in order to have an active position is frustrating. I created a support ticket about this. Seems like it should have been implemented from the start

Why are these options to move the stop loss and takeprofit directly on the chart not active when operating with the brokers with real money?????

Can you add a Step Back button? After each turn I like to go back and see what I saw or missed from the previous step's perspective. Also it'd be cool to have a hide dates button. With big indexes like SPY you can sometimes be tainted by knowing what happened in that period.

Strategy Tester is surely an excellent tool, and has the most advanced capabilities and data to show. This, however, is great for this looking to practice trader or need a quick and easy way to test their skills in a simulated chart.
