@@elizabetholiviaclark traditional grip was much more common back then but as rock came about, much more people became match players. buddy rich actually mentions this in a interview on how everyone is wrong (in his day) because they were using match

Yes! Not impossible! Just rudiments played super super fast. 😂 I called it the “impossible” drum roll because I learned from a Drumeo lesson that had 4-5 licks like this. That lesson was called “impossible Buddy Rich” drum fills or something like that!

Hey Dave! You are correct: not acoustic drums! I had to switch to electric when my daughter was born last year (now she can sleep while I am working!). These Roland kits have REALLY grown on me though. The triggering response is crazy accurate. Once you get some sounds dialed in, it’s extremely satisfying to play!
