I feel sorry for the goats that needed to be surrendered....they were living outside in a nice little paddock of there own. I hope they get adopted soon too. I hope the Christmas Parade is fun for y'all!

Awww. I feel so badly for Allie and I'll miss her. I get so attached to these animals via the daily vlogs, and it always hurts a bit when they go away, even though I know they're going to their new forever homes. Some of them, like Allie, I've become especially fond of. I hope she finds someone to love her quickly. 💙

Cowboy needs a trim on his tail so it's above the mud, not dragging in the mud! ❤ He is also getting a hay belly on him. He needs to go for a walk everyday, until he has a bowl movement on his walk, he is getting too fat😮 Maybe for next year, you think about getting an exercise walker for the horses to help rehab & build up muscle. You can walk up to six or more horses at one time. With one persons supervision. It would also help with easy walks, to keep their gut muscles moving & lose the hay belly. Exercise every day helps having good regular bowl movements! ❤ I also wanted to mention that UC Davis, CA. has a really good study on refeeding starved horses, that your vets might want to checkout!! ❤ Why do you have to get rid of all your outdoor barn cats? 😔 🙀 They all seem pretty happy being there! Good mice control! I have really enjoyed the cats coming up to say hello to the girls, while they are taping their daily blog! They are all so sweet & follow along supervising throughout the day! ❤

Dino wants to be in the parade too. 😢 Fettuccine is a beautiful kitty. One of the reservation horses looked like it was off a bit on its right back leg, like it was stiff. Or maybe I'm seeing things that aren't there. Thanks for another enjoyable vlog.

I absolutely love everyone at HPHS. I hope ya'll get a couple more horse gentlers to help out with the 15 new reservation mustangs. The last 4 ya'll had were really good, I'm sorry to say I didn't really care for these last 2 you had. I thought they were a little too heavy handed. Skipping too much ground work, and way too heavy handed with the flag. These horses are scared enough, they need quiet, calm interactions at the start. I've trained many horses in my 70+ years, but never tried to rush the process. I love ya'll and I support your organization greatly.....but they definitely were not the right fit at HPHS. I love all of the horses at horse plus Humane Society you guys do a wonderful job in making sure that they are taken care of at any cost. With the new reservation horses I've noticed their tails are short or look like they have been cut, I understand some of them are fairly young but it's almost like they were being sent to auction. I know when horse owners decide to surrender their beloved animals, horses they do cut their tails because they want a piece of them to remember. So I was just wondering is that the case with the reservation horses

Probably that and possibly because shorter tails make them seem younger, giving them a better chance of being adopted. It's a trick they use at auctions a lot to fool less knowledgeable buyers. Although in the case of the rez horses, it might be an act of love and hope for them before sending them away.

omg, fettuccine is such a stinkin' cutie! if I was closer (and in a place I could own a cat), I would adopt him in a heartbeat! thank you for all the wonderful work you do to help animals! I know rescue is heartbreaking sometimes, but you guys do such a great job and make such a difference in the lives of so many animals! I hope you all and cowboy have fun at the parade! (I'm excited to see how he does!)

Well, even the outdoor cats enjoy having a warm place during winter and as soon as it gets colder they will stay closer to the house and eventually will come inside.

I dont agree with the adoption fee waiver, if you cant afford the fee, you can't afford to keep a horse. Let's hope the horses don't end up back in an auction

All of the adopters have to go through a vetting process. They have to provide fotos and details about their barn etc and HPHS even gets in contact with their vet in order to check if the applicant pays their vet bills on time. I'm sure that nobody in their right mind would go through all of this plus drive down to HPHS only in order to make a few hundred bucks.

@@tnit7554 Well, I've been following HPHS on KZbin for some years now and all of the adopters seemed quite knowledgeable and already had horses. I'm pretty sure that they would not accept applicants without enough knowledge and resources.

Have you seen the cats in PetSmart up for adoption? It's exposure to adoptable homes, how is that so terrible? They are literally out on a dirt road in a very remote area, how do you think they find cat adopters? My local suburban shelter in Cincy area uses PetSmarts a lot, they seem to do okay, same contract as thru the cat shelter. Whatever finds good homes...

PetSmart doesn't sell any dogs or cats instead they offer space for rescues to get more animals adopted. In warmer climates they sometimes have them outside the store on the weekends. If people are going in to purchase supplies for their pets, I think this is a wonderful way for people to see animals that are up for adoption and maybe take one home...

Petsmart is a pet SUPPLY store, they don’t sell dogs or cats. Any that you see in a Petsmart are there for adoptions.
