Practicing God's Presence | Psalm 23 Pt 9 | EP042

David concludes Psalm 23 by proclaiming, “and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” It’s a stunning ending to a stunning Psalm. But what’s David's context? What’s he declaring? Is he talking about Heaven? Is he talking about the Tabernacle (often referred to as “the house of the LORD”). Is “forever” the best translation? As we seek to answer these questions, I believe we’ll be invited into one of the most significant practices that enables us to grow in our awareness of God, and approach life with a perspective and maturity that we all long to possess.

Oh my goodness! Pete Scazzero was my first Pastor at New Life Church in Elmhurst, Queens. I gave my life to the Lord in his church. It all started with one of his home group leaders coming to our house. I never forget how I felt before she arrived! I felt an angel if God was coming to visit me. I was so excited! How is Pete doing? I lost contact with him some years back when we moved to Long Island and left his church. Of all people I know, you know Pete! What a small world! It all started with him and it led to my husband giving his life to the Lord and becoming a Pastor. God has used him mightily!
