also when Gary asked to pull andreas in wrist to wrist hook (since wrist to wrist excludes hand strength and only becomes pure arm vs arm contest), andreas still beat him wow. (considering that gary's backpressure was one of the strongest in the history of armwrestling, it is just incredible).

you dont necessarily have to open someones hand to toproll. You can get your wrist bent back with closed hands as well. There are different styles of toprolls...

I want to see samuelsson.. and how anybody take his wrist :D It will be very interesting match between John,Taras, Cyplenkov , Devon , Babaev vs Magnus Samuelsson,i think that he will not have any problems :D

@q8shiaprince yes, but the capacity in the ring of a peak Mike Tyson can not be compared to a peak Magnus at the armwrestling table against the absolute best armwrestlers. Magnus was a very good armwrestler but not good enough for Brzenk's best, that's all I'm saying. It's a fact among armwrestlers! Magnus himself says that Sharon Remez has always played with him at armwrestling, no matter what shape Magnus has been in, but I guess you don't believe that? You can always e-mail him and ask! :)

@q8shiaprince Well, I know, even though they never met. :) It doesn't say ANYTHING AT ALL that he beat non armwrestlers at a strongman event or what he could do to a gripper or dumbbell. Armwrestling is about ARM WRESTLING and nothing else. A strong wrist is important in armwrestling but it's far from all that is needed. It's like saying that a guy who could box very hard at one of those boxing machines in amusementparks could beat the best MMA guys.... it just doesn't make sense.. :)

Holy shit. This video proves how strong Rundstorm was. Gary is only 1 year away from his prime at 1993 (his prime was 1994-1996 where he beat brzenk, dean, and bath) and was one of the most powerful heavyweight in the history of armwrestling. whereas andreas was a lightweight champ. andreas overpowers his hand and immobilizes Gary's immense backpressure. andreas's wrist cup is too strong for gary's pronator to handle and his fingers coundn't contain andreas' toproll.

@q8shiaprince Magnus hasn't armwrestled since 1995, and even then he wasn't one of the top 10 armwrestlers in the world. Nowadays the level is MUCH higher and even if Magnus got stronger between -95 and -98 all that strength can not be "transmitted" to armwrestling since he didn't train for armwrestling during those years. So he simply doesn't have great armwrestling strength. Armwrestlers train their wrists static in very special ways and without that kind of training you lose against the best!

@ignatovv Why is it that Magnus has not won as many world titles as Brzenk? Why is it that Brzenk has never came close to losing to middle/lightweight Runstrom while Magnus did? You cannot answer these questions with your current views of Magnus.

I was just a little annoyed when you don't want to understand that wrist power is not enough, even though I said it so many times and it's a FACT, but again, it's a free world and you have the right to believe what you want. And I'm not defending John blindly as a fan, I'm defending truth. You said that Magnus at his best would kill best Brzenk and that is just wrong.

thats impossible , nobody can open the magnus's hand and beat magnus wrist he will made wrist curls with big amount of weights... i believe that his wrist and his biceps is insanely strong. In his DVD he told that he cant remember to lost a fight in hook... Nobody i think can open Magnus's hand even John BRzenk!

Yes i know that but i cant see even a chance someone to take his wrist.Lets see he can curl 140 x 4 ,and i dont think his biceps is weak. He can close CoC 4 x 2 and even hold it , i dont think his forearm is week. He is the best in Atlas stones(everything) and farmer walk(grip strenght)... And Andreas Rundström cant beat Ron Bath. So want to tell me that Ron Bath can beat Magnus Samuelsson and that someone which is 85 or 90 kilos can take his wrist? I dont think so

well magnus was in the sport about how many years? He was not strong as now he is or as storng as in 2002-2005. I cannot believe that MAgnus that is 156 kg can be beaten... He has better training stats even compared to Cyplenkov and a main technique. I believe that if he hook someone there is no way to lose. I can see that this is true about Cyplenkov also.

magnus as a active arm wrestler (110 kg) would be better than his later strongman version as 156 kg...

@q8shiaprince No disrespect to Magnus, but he would not beat John, especially when John was at his best. Non armwrestlers seem to have a hard time realizing how strong elite armwrestlers really are. Even though Magnus is heavier now he is of course not stronger at armwrestling than he was back in 1995 when he still was into armwrestling, and at that time he was not close to John's best. And I say this as a Swede... :) Magnus' speciality is strongman and that's what he is (or was?) great at!

You don't know how strong John was at his best so I don't get why you say all this.. you don't know armwrestling but you talk like you do. Why? I repeat one last time - wrist power is FAR from everything that is needed to beat the best shape of the best armwrestler of all time. I'm surprised you don't get that.
