Its Prada, ya know? I always feel challenged by her collections. I generally don't see conventional beauty when I see a Prada collection, but she's always a barometer for what's next. So much of what you see in fashion season after season has her hand in it. She's a driving force in both fashion and styling. You see women everywhere IN Prada and/or trying to look LIKE Prada. Faced with it, the girls look too cool for me....I sometimes have trouble finding the charm in her presentation. After I dissect, though, I find some fucking incredible pieces. Those oversized coats are covetable, her bags are so distinct and lux, the textiles in the pants and skirts has become somewhat of a signature for her, almost graphic in a comic book kind of way....the tweed coats with the animal print collars. The thing with Prada that so many people find challenging (and its often the case with Marc Jacobs and Fendi as well) is that fashion shows are a presentation of ALL of their pieces...or as many as they possibly can fit on a model. You're not meant to wear all of these pieces together, they are all "signature" pieces if you will and its your job to plug in basics to balance them out. Any one of these pieces with simple white shirts, or sleek trousers, or a basic black pump will electrify your look. Those complaining that its grannyish or batshit crazy need to remember that you're meant to see pieces, not looks.

PatisserieBoy You're right. Miuccia is known for being over intelectual. And what I love the most about her, is that she goes full hands with it, she brings these hard-to-digest looks that minor houses will imitate afterwards in more subtle versions. Love Miuccia always!!!

I share your thoughts and assessments about Prada in general and of this collection. Prada is like watching Lost, The X-Files or some other extremely complex movie or television series: You need more than just one look to get the full picture and every time you go back to it, you glean a new clue from each viewing. One's best reading of the seasonal collection from Prada usually come from the accompanying print ad campaign where they are able to fill out the back story of the collection and give you a better assessment for the season. This was a good collecction with many pieces that will find homes in the closets of numerous women around the world. And yes, Kaia Gerber killed it again.

I loved it..! it's very clear the collection has a sequence! different designs, patterns, fittings... I loved it..! I love she is using different angle's cuts! I love this collection! Also, it's one of the first runway shows that the models walked around the whole runway at the end, and of course and the end of the runway she showed up; very humble as she is..! Love Miuccia Prada

This is a mashup of everything she has done. The business side (sales, etc.) of the brand is starting to become apparent each season. Granted, the silhouettes are timeless , the details feel heavy. The setting is predictable and the music samples sound contrived. It seem like its a copy of a copy of a Prada show. She is such a well established figure that she should have stopped seasons ago. The wheel of consumerism just keeps on turning.
