Sir u are great! You are the only reason that I scored 92 marks out of 100 in phy in my 12th boards. You made my life beautiful. You make topics so understandable and beautiful! It create love for phy in students like us. Sir, never ever in my life I have seen such a dedicated teacher ( of phy) like u

Sir, Please help. In the last lecture, you told that in forward bias, the initial current is zero up to a certain voltage and then increases. The example which you gave in the last lecture, the current was zero till the applied voltage was less than 0.6 V. Suppose if we want to create a rectifier with output voltage of 0.4 V then what will be done because the diode will not allow current to pass, and hence the output voltage will be zero.
@aryaman51066 жыл бұрын
brother the cut in voltage is different for different semiconductor device in general we consider is at 0.6 volt ...but if u want to rectify 0.4 volt Ac u will used germanium semiconductor which has 0.2V cut in voltage ....then it will easily rectified your Ac input to DC ....thank u 😉

@Musicsoundsbetterwithyou179 жыл бұрын
Sir in your explanation you had previously told that if a capacitor is given a dc current it allows it and charge is stored whereas in the full wave rectifier when you introduce the capacitor you told that capacitor blocks the dc current and allows AC to pass through it? Please correct if I am wrong. Thanks for providing such amazing lectures a very helpful source for studying for students studying abroad as good tuition's are not available and this saves time and money both I really thank you once again.

since capacitive reactance is 1/wc and frequency of DC is zero ..thus a capacitor gives infinite resistance to circuit and block the flow ..but in AC it will charge and uncharge and current will pass through it......

@samuelfrank99477 жыл бұрын
Sir why should the current stop flowing from the capacitor as because AC is continuously flowing and changing is direction and there are two diodes so the capacitor will have the flow of charge continuously so we can obtain a continuous line when we add filter in full wave rectifier

Sir c se to ac current hi jayega to phir
@vickyvm68 жыл бұрын
mr moshin, capacitor blocks dc current whereas inductor blocks ac current. since the dc has zero frequency ang get blocked by capictor and the capictor get discharged during negative half cycles of full wave rectifier. and hence maintain the current throught the cycle.

Sir why high resistance is needed with capacitor?
@murtazabohra53887 жыл бұрын
Amritpal Singh so that ac current flows through the capacitor..if we do not add the high resistance,ac current might flow in the forward direction and hence will not reach the point N.Secondly we will not be able to filter because ac as well as DC both will reach the end point The path taken by the current is of least resistance.
