An amazing interview with an amazing man. I live here in Houston, after getting out of the Air Force in 1992, where he and Gallery Furniture has been a fixture in my life. He has given so much to this community through hurricanes and floods, donating to the Houston Livestock Show, which helps students to go to college, helping the homeless and those affected by personal disasters. He has raised some amazing daughters. It will be heartbreaking to think of Houston without Mattress Mack, which will be eased only by knowing that he will be sitting at the right hand of the Lord. We love you Mack!

I first met Mattress Mac in 1983 when he began as a sponsor on Houston Wrestling with Paul Boesch. He's a great guy and the hardest working man I have ever met. He could run circles around the energizer bunny. Houston is a better place because of him.
