While the 0 meter intercepts of violent large wedge tornadoes do have their place and a lot of scientific data and even just necessary warning stimuli are born from doing that, I really appreciate your style of chasing. Follow your instincts and your experience, wait for things to come to you, document what you see, ensure everyone is alright, and move on without causing a disturbance. Once again spectacularly done. So thrilled I stumbled upon your channel a few years ago, I've done everything I can to soak it all in because this channel is a priceless gem of knowledge for those that seek it.

I love watching tornado videos but so sad with all the destruction.

I’ve been watching tornado chasing videos all week. Seems like I do this every May. But I must say, this was such a cool video. Very interesting from the first, no screaming or anything, just calm, controlled and great footage. Excellent work. 👍

I have been as well, especially when the storms that came late last week, and seeing Ryan Hall's live stream last Thursday if I recall right, then I knew he did another one on Friday and I've been finding various videos on tornadoes, including several chases like Andrew, and 2 yesterday of the tornado/Derecho that hit Huston what, a couple of days ago and what looked like rush hour.

Love this! From Oregon and fascinated with tornadoes. I get my fix with this and learn a ton in the process. Thank you!

Nice chase. Maybe not a "big" event but some dramatic moments and great structure. Always much appreciate your teaching dialog, that I've learned so much from. Big thumbs up 👍.

You missed the one in southern illinois!! Was huge!!
@AndrewPritchard7 ай бұрын
Yep!! I heard about it right as I pulled over after the New Baden tornado. The one in southern Illinois was way down there in an area that is really tough to chase. Lots of trees and hills, few good roads. It would have been hard for me to be in the right place without being familiar with the area, but lots of locals got some incredible shots!

The birds will tell you all you need to know. Only time I’ve heard that warning call and that consistency was before a tornadic storm.

Ssssoooo, I think one of my cats has a crush on you. I was watching this video on my primary monitor when I noticed she paid very close attention to it whenever you came on the screen. For context, she likes to sprawl out between my keyboard and my primary monitor when she decides she's been neglected, and she is terrifyingly intelligent. So, out of morbid curiosity, I restarted the video, and put a 24/7 cat tv channel on my second monitor. I wear headphones. Once more, she was highly focused on the segments when you came into view, favoring you over videos of sparrows and golden finches eating seeds from a plank of wood. As of this comment, I am in the experiment design process. Will report back when I've completed the design, and got a number of trials done.

epic video, very much a crazy outbreak; there were so many tornadoes and several at once on the ground I remember, with all sorts of angles of chasers, drones, just like the month prior, so many visible tornadoes, but that was only the beginning leading into the night hours, where the violence really occurred. Interesting report of the first Decatur tornado at 1.8 mi wide, likely the largest tornado since the 2020 Soso bassfield tornado. Incredible season, completely undescribable, i've spent so much time investing into the events this season, its hard to sum it up, the best is to say it had everything everywhere. @MeteorologistAndrewPritchard Also to add the Goreville EF3 was occurring as you witnessed the New Baden tornado according to time reports.
