Hallelujah!!! I was in this church as a child . I was going through something today and Lord reminded me he loved me.. it was the greatest... I did not need the love of the drugs,the female that tried to hurt me,the friends that had no good intentions for me but the Love if God . I started to oraise the Lord and this came up on my feed so I had a praise break along with my childhood church video!!! I miss my Dad (Apostle Johnnie Washington) I miss the holiness preaching, I miss when saints were really anointed with the holy Ghost and that with Fire!!!! I miss seeing the saints dressed in white, and heads covered!! I was in the choir for a few years... We sacraficed our lives to the Lord and God anointed our lives. I came to Tab when I was in high school back in th 80's. I received the gift of the holy ghost! Praise the Lord!! I am still crying it's holiness or hell !!!

Praising God as never before. I love to see the saints praising the Lord in the dance. Old and young praise the lord together. I love the way Tabernacle praises God. When I visited this Church back in the 80's before Ap. Washington passed it was nothing like I have never seen before. I just loved it. And even after his passing the saints continued to praise God. There isn't a sound like this no where else. Praise God for Tabernacle.

I remember being in this particular service . Everybody was dancing and shouting and speaking in tongues. There was a special sound and that is a sound of holiness. I miss Apostle Washington. But I will keep his teachings .

God knows when to take “his leaders” sadly and I hate to say this bc I love Apostle Washington but he would have caught such backlash from the so called church of today bc he preached truth and expose satan for the liar and deceiver that he is! Im confident Apostle Washington wouldn’t have backed down like many preachers of today has. Back in the 60s throughout the 80s God anointed and filled those old school leaders with an uncompromising anointing, a boldness and a fire to rebuke and send satan back to hell! I had a chance to visit his church as a young kid with my family and it was so powerful just like the videos so. This young generation don’t really know about the true power of God but those old mothers, Deacons and that old church does. Back in these days blacks had little money, education and lived by faith just to eat and make it day to day and they trusted in God bc thats all they had. Many didnt have nice things but they had a nice thankful praise in there hearts and mouth. I miss the old church dearly

This was the Tabernacle of Prayer, located at 165-11 Jamaica Ave in the Jamaica section of Queens New York. It was founded by Apostle Johnnie Washington in Brooklyn and later moved to Queens. Pastor Washington passed in 1986 and the church is now being pastored by Bishop Ronnie Davis. I got saved in 1985 by the influence of one of Pastor Washingtons members.

People were more sincere in those days. I grew up in the 70s & 80s. People didn't play like they do now and we were GLAD to be in church and could praise God all day long. It's amazing how a building that seats 3,400 could be full like this on a regular Sunday.
