At 0:53 there are two chords you play for guitar 1, the 9-12 and then it should be 12-14-15 You play it correctly but the tab is incorrect Hope that helps🎉

Hi, just want to ask about the main lead riff. Can you do the same lead riff on a different starting note if it is in a different key.. my worship team always changes keys and i want to understand the concept of moving the riffs of original keys to different key.
@electric_praise2 ай бұрын
Yes you can always play a riff in any key! I'd say the best way to understand changing keys is to use the piano. For example, if your worship team does this song in the key of C, that is 3 semitones higher than the original key of A, so you would play everything 3 frets higher on the guitar. Or if you did the song in G, you would play everything 2 frets lower. You can find the keys on the piano and count how many semitones you are moving keys. You can also use the guitar frets if you know the notes of the fretboard, but I tend to think in terms of the piano, probably because I learned piano before I started guitar. Hope this helps!

I really appreciate the time you took to put the tabs on here. The layout made it much easier for me to learn. Now to get those chorus riffs down at that tempo!
@electric_praise5 ай бұрын
Glad you like the layout! I actually switched back to using dots on the fretboard after this video because it seemed better. All the other videos on my channel use this layout. You should let me know which one you like better!
@karisab40865 ай бұрын
@@electric_praise I noticed that. I like this layout better than the dots.
@electric_praise5 ай бұрын
@@karisab4086 Interesting. Some people said it's hard to read the numbers in this layout. I'll look at ways to make this layout better and maybe start using it again (probably with better colors).
@karisab40864 ай бұрын
The numbers are a little small and move fast at this tempo, but I just zoomed in. I needed to write it out for myself for our worship team and had to transpose it. So seeing it all rather than blinking on the screen helped, I also think having the measures visual helped me. Some tutorials I struggle over for a long time due to no tabs and I have to really watch their hands and then see if I'm right on my guitar. This (or even the dots on the fretboard) take a lot of the guesswork out.
@electric_praise4 ай бұрын
@@karisab4086 Ok thanks for the feedback. I'll probably make a version of this layout with larger numbers and get rid of the rectangles so it's easier to read. I figured this would be more like reading tablature as opposed to following the dots.

How would I play this in the key of E
@BransonGamezАй бұрын
I know I ask this a lot but you are so good at explaining this and also this cover is amazing 🤩!
@electric_praiseАй бұрын
No problem! In general, you can count how many semitones between the original key and the key you're transposing to, and that's how many frets lower/higher you need to play. In this case, the original key is A and E is 5 semitones lower than A so you would play everything 5 frets lower. Also, I'm making tabs in every key for all the songs on the channel and these will be available soon!

What software do you use for the tabs en keyboard

I use the number system and i put everything as numbers however i will most likely not play around the fretboard because im quite new and it will be hard, i know it wont sound the best but if i stay on one scale on the fretboard it should still be fine right?
@electric_praise8 ай бұрын
I'd encourage you to experiment with different chord shapes on the fretboard, because most lead lines actually revolve around chord shapes. For example, you could play a bar chord but only use the top 3 strings. Once you get comfortable moving chord shapes around, the lead lines will make a lot more sense. Scales have their place of course, but I'd suggest focusing on chord shapes and paying attention to what notes in the scale belong to each chord. All the best!
