I was baptized Nov 2014 and not even 2 months later I got sick with an unknown autoimmune disease... I would not still be alive had Joseph not brought backk the Gospel. I know I don't have much longer here on this Earthly plane but now, I am not worried where I will go when that time happens for me. I know where I will go and I hope I can thank him when I get there personally because without him, I wouldn't have know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. :')

God Bless you, Sister. My wife was also diagnosed with Lupus last 2017, which caused a miscarriage, three years after being baptized. It has been a great challenge for us to the point that we question our faith. Today she is still struggling, in pain, and unsure of what's going to happen, and there's nothing we can do about it. But the lesson of the restored gospel aligns us back to our faith and the path towards eternity. As we keep on pushing and having faith in Him, I know that we are not alone in this fight.

Glad to hear you have that hope! I'm sorry to hear about the disease. :( The gospel brings hope and peace to know that everything will truly work out in the end, and that everything will be okay. Where you are going is a safe place. :)

I love this song and know of myself that he was ordained by God to bring to pass the restoration of all things. People may criticize because he made mistakes along the way but I say we all do. God used him to bring about His restoration and bring His truth back to the world despite his imperfections. It's amazing and awesome in the short amount of time from the restoration to today how far the message has spread. Like the stone cut out of the mountains without hands it rolls forth and will continue to roll forth until it fills the whole earth. I became converted to the gospel while deployed to Iraq and met up with an LDS chaplain while searching for religious truth. I am always glad for that day and say there needs to be more chaplains of our faith in the military.

And all things which were created must have remained in the same state in which they were after they were created; and they must have remained forever, and had no end. 23 And they would have had no children; wherefore they would have remained in a state of innocence, having no joy, for they knew no misery; doing no good, for they knew no sin. 24 But behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things. 25 Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy. 26 And the Messiah cometh in the fulness of time, that he may redeem the children of men from the fall. James 1:5 really works. Joseph Smith saw all that he said he did. He was, and is, a prophet of God. I know it is so because God has told me it is true. And, He told me more than once. The first time it was so crystal clear the thought "It's as plain as the nose on your face!" literally leaped into the forefront of my consciousness. "Praise to the man!", indeed!

I always felt the spirit of God whenever I sing and heard this hymn "praise to the man." It always brought back to my mind what happened in the grove where at a young age, Joseph prayed fervently without doubt in faith his prayers was answered--that God and the Father appeared to him. I am grateful and strongly believe that he is called by God to restore the gospel that once taken on earth and will continue its progress until God's work shall be rolled forth every corner of the world. I am grateful and blessed that I accepted heartily The Book of Mormon, which is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. I know that I am one of the beloved daughter of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ is my Saviour. My testimony will always be kept in my heart and mind eternally.

Who says you can't go home again. You just did. I was born in Ithaca, New York in 1938. There was always a feeling about those woods but it took adulthood to know what it was. Thank you for taking me home again. Thanks to my children for naming their boys such "worthy" names; something to live up to. And so the journey continues, thanks to our Lord.
@janettrim75874 жыл бұрын
There are many "Josephs" in our family. My own son was named after two prophets - Jared & Joseph. My mother's father was a Joseph and the name is used in four connecting lines. I am surprised that my mother didn't name one Jehosephat since she used it so often when she got frustrated. Is it any wonder that this became my favorite song? And now this Choir rendition is another very favorite. (My mother was a contralto singer) She often said I "couldn't carry a tune in a bucket". I actually sang on radio -just once - when it was a surprise birthday celebration for me and a request of my "friends" to prove I couldn't sing. I did the best I could impromptu, and perhaps that was the trick - they laughed at me and teased me for fooling them. It was I that was fooled! Isn't it wonderful to go back in time. What would old age be worth if we didn't have our memories - good and bad. At 72 and many professional careers under my proverbial "belt"! WHAT A JOURNEY IT HAS BEEN.

Just to clear up a few facts for anyone coming to this page curious about the mormon so called martyr Joseph Smith. Firstly Joseph Smith considered fleeing the state prior to his arrest as he had done so many times in the past but he was criticized by some of his followers. Secondly he commanded the Nauvoo legion ( of which he had made himself Lieutenant General) to rescue him and his brother at all costs but the legion was never sent. Thirdly Joseph Smith had a gun in Carthage jail and when the mob attacked he shot back and severely wounded or perhaps even killed two men. This is NEVER discussed. Just defending himself? OK sure ..fair enough but hardly died like a first century Christian martyr. This is just more mormon propaganda. Mormons just twist everything to suit what they want to believe like most cults. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING mormonism I SUGGEST YOU REALLY DO YOUR HOMEWORK…..STAY AWAY!!!

Oliver Downunder the reason you're not a Mormon yet is because you need to start doing some real studying. My first challenge to you is to read the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ. I have read it many times over the years and I am always in awe of the fact that this book was produced in a mere 65 days. An uneducated farm boy could not do this on his own. The book came forth by the power of God. Are you up to the challenge?

Yawn. Oliver, there is a difference between an honest, truth-seeking scholar and a pompous grandstander. Unfortunately, you fit into the latter. I would love to engage with you in a mature manner, but your attitude is simply atrocious. When you think you can discuss these issues sans the childish mud flinging, let me know.

This is, in my opinion, one of the most powerful Tabernacle Choir arrangements, but the thing I love about this video (excepting the aforementioned music) is in the first 25 seconds. The orchestra is warming up, and then the conductor steps up. The orchestra quiets, and you hear the performers shuffle. Then the conductor raises his baton, and there is silence. It is a beautiful show of musicianship.
