Getting a Lotta likes on my comment. It's true though I'm 62 and remember YPWW and Friday night youth/Pastoral nights being a staple and a given in our church. Someone sent me a very flippant toned message about how their church yet has YPWW. Truth of the matter is that most of our COGIC churches don't. We need to make our voices heard on the local church, district and jurisdictional levels on this issue. Let's lobby our leaders to bring back Friday night youth and Pastoral night as well as YPWW

I'm not sure if we understand the power of God, but he is faithful and will rise another. This child not being judgey but was created out of wedlock, and God still said him. God doesn't play about his business, and I pray this family is truly about the father's business...his grandparents seem to not play about it. God blesses generations due to the generations prior, he is a covenant keeping God. It's funny we are too quick to say this about Hollywood stars and their kids in a positive way, but when it comes to God's business it's some type of mockery.

This reminds me of my youth in the Apostolic church we had to preach pray know the 5 fold ministry and conduct a full service. Had to recite 5 scriptures and know all the books of the bible. Most went on to be some of your greatest Evangelist and preachers etc The bible said train a child in the way they should go thank God I am seeing more churches is allowing the children to have a voice. Jesus started his journey at 7. In the last days he said he will pour out his spirit upon all fleash and your sons and daughters shall prophecy! I am standing on the promises of God. We need to stop complaining so much and uplift our youth. A church with no active youth is a dying church. God word must go forth no matter the age.

This kid gives me so much hope for his generation. A STRONG Christian community is so important. OBEDIENCE is so important. Raising your children in the fear of God by setting an example is so important. Dr. Mattie Moss Clark is a PERFECT example of that. She taught her daughters, and they taught their children and their children to teach THEIR children. However, each generation had reinforcement from a STRONG Christian church community to help them along the way. I am so so proud of this great example of generations being saved and set apart through the obedience of one. ALSO, I can not exclude Dr. Bishop Sheard. This is ANOTHER example of the importance of being equally yoke! Bishop Sheard's parents also raised him in the fear of God, where he became steadfast in the faith and called to ministry. IF Lady sheard went a different way and married someone else who she was not equally yoked with, that could have broken the covenant God had over the entire family's generation. Obedience to God saves LIVES!!!
