We are deeply concerned. We have recommended your songs to so many and this is not what we expected. The reason is - you identify God as a she or he based on your culture, trend or generation. We believe your opinion and faith matters but we also believe our language must also have boundaries (proverbs 15:4; Psalm 19:14) Again we are hurt because you don't uphold the word of God. This idea you represent is a worldview that doesn't resonate with the idea of godliness or reverence. Being funny and laughable is good, we all do that, but this is not good. This is like arrogance. You wouldn't have done this when you began. Look at your journey. It's been wonderful. Don't forget where you came from. Bring Glory to God in all that you. You are in that place to influence. Choose your words and actions carefully. Walk circumspectly (Eph 5:15-16) You are matured enough to know that. Be aware of your influence and pay attention to the ones God is touching through your talents. My encouragement to you is take some time to read the word in this regard. Take counsel, be aware of your role and purpose, have some boundaries which is healthy and uphold the word of God. We may not know or completely understand everything in the word, but it is the truth. Use your opportunities and talents wisely. Praying the Lord will help you. You have no idea how big your influence is. May the Lord guide you and use you more for His glory in the days to come.

This only works if you consider the bible to be the litteral word of god and that it was therefore his will to be referred as masculine. However, if the bible was written by humans trying to describe their understanding of god, it would make sense, given the historical context, that they supposed god is masculine. As far as I know the belief (or understanding) that god transcends genders, and considering god the father/son/spirit/whatever else as mere aspects of god's true state of being only came much later.

Delcy - this is one thought I had while watching the video. I appreciate the lighthearted nature of the video, but also recognize the need for clarification between sex and gender. While there is no galactic nutsack on G, there is many instances in which God self refers as "he". Even as a non-binary (sexless) God, he has chosen He/His/Him pronouns. Jesus refers to Him as Father in multiple instances. Certainly, God may have feminine qualities because why not? Single mothers must represent both parent figures for their families and must take on mothering and fathering qualities. I can accept God as sexless/non-binary, but to assert that we choosingly get to select pronouns for God based on our belief of his "genderlessness" is a stretch. He has addressed his gender. His sex is His business. Nutsack or not, God and Jesus recognize God's He/Him pronouns.

The opening half of the book of Proverbs is written by a “spirit” of sorts named Chokmah. In English we call “her,” Wisdom. Wisdom, or Chokmah, or Sophia, depending on what language you read the book from, is said to be the spirit and breath of God. Wisdom says that “He created the world with me” and “Before anything was, I was there.” She is said to be a merciful spirit, the giving of Gods first Torah, and a tree of life open to all who choose Her. It’s a very fascinating part of the Bible that is constantly skimmed over. Spirit as we translate it now derives from words in Hebrew or Greek that mean “breathe” or “life force.” This “spirit” Wisdom, says that “God created the world with me, and I was there before anything was” as I said earlier. (You are welcome to go read the opening chapters of Proverbs for proof.) So here we have a biblical spirit claiming to be with God at the beginning, and she also says that God created the world with her, she is a breathe, a life force, a spirit. We can now go back to the beginning in the Bible, what does Genesis say. Before there was anything, there was God. And God used his breathe, his words, to create everything. The Bible even says; “And God’s spirit hovered over the waters.” Wisdom says, “I was there with him at the beginning, he created the world by me.” We jump to the New Testament. The books of Corinthians, Luke, and John. Corinthians echoes these talks of Wisdom, “we declare wisdom a hidden mystery destined for us from the beginning since time began” We have received what is the Holy Spirit from God so that we may understand freely.” In the book of Luke, Jesus says himself that Wisdom sent the prophets and emissaries to the world. In bits and pieces, Wisdom is validated throughout the New Testament. Christians especially like to make ideas that the “holy spirit” only came after the time of Jesus. That Jesus left it with us. This part is very well true, but can we really believe that no Holy Spirit existed until after the time of Jesus? No. The entire Bible Old and New tells us that God is consistent, and that his spirit has clearly existed from the beginning, with Him. Maybe you are confused now, as I am saying that “God is actually multiple different people, or figures” you might be thinking, “how does that make any sense?” The founding principles of Christianity itself is that God is composed of these different parts, different representations, different names, that form 3 things in 1. The triune God, the trinity. This has been a base principle to Christian’s for a long time. Disregard for the sake of argument what Gungor is saying, yes their music can be abrasive. Step away from that for a minute though and look at the Bible that you uphold. There is clearly a very real argument to be made that, Gods “Holy Spirit” is female. Wisdom, is called a she by Jesus, God, and she even has an entire book dedicated to her. The prophets echo her, she is said to be the giver of Torah, the mother to all, open to all. And “She was in the beginning with God.” If God is truly 3 people in 1, as Christian’s say God is, who is to say that we cannot very legitimately argue that that spirit is a Woman? John has a famous analogy of God that brought about the understanding of the Trinity. In the beginning was God, and the word was with God, and the word was God. Then the Word became flesh, and walked amongst us. “Word” is a masculine word in Greek so it is referred to as masculine when addressed with pronouns, however; “Spirit” is not, and spirit is written as feminine. This analogy in John is commonly read as; God is the “Father” while the word and the flesh are both read as the “Son.” Well if this is an analogy of the trinity, we are only reading about two people. Where is the third? I have believed like others now that this analogy should be God, The Father, The Word, The Spirit, and The Flesh, The Son. We can read through it again, “and the Word was with God, and the Word, was God.” What was with God at the beginning, before anything else? Sure, we can say Jesus as Christian theology says, but also Gods Spirit, Gods Breathe. His Words could not be spoken without his breathe, without his spirit. I say all of this to say, from an objective standpoint, the Bible itself gives us plenty of evidence to argue that if we truly believe in a trinity, and one of the pieces is female, what is truly wrong with calling God, “She”? For me, “The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit,” takes on more meaning now. Here are the citations because I know you’ll want them: Proverbs 1-12 (the entire first half) but more specifically Proverbs 8:22-31 1 Corinthians 2:12- 1 Corinthians 2:7 1 Corinthians 2:10 Luke 11:49 John 1 1 John 5:7

In all honesty, this scares me shitless. I don’t know what to say. I have great fears of being deceived Yet I draw near to YHWH in the quiet place, and I feel assured that such ideas about God Are not blasphemous. And it scares me, it offends all the parts of me that seek comfort in the known. Yet somehow I know I’m being called to venture who God is by his spirit, and not by some one else’s revelation of Him. It’s because in the new age there is a lot of corruption and perversion when we are talking about the divine feminine and the mother and Women who call themselves priestesses. But then again the same can be said of Christianity and it’s corruption by certain individuals through out history. Who is the mother ? Is she God? As well the the father and the son. I’ve concluded I need to see this through as fear cannot be a reason I don’t look into it. In all things, draw close to Yeshua. A tree can only bare fruit after its own kind, if there is any truth in this it will bear the fruit of the kingdom. Those who look one with disapproval I invite you that instead of passing judgment, you simply pray for us in all truth and love. Regardless , one thing I know for sure is that Yeshua has been given the name above every name. Find out what this means, as it’s true significance is An ecstatic mystery, one you can depend on.
