I think Computer Science (CS) is the best option for any tech-related job because a university can only teach you the theoretical things, which are very important and cannot be ignored. However, you can learn many tech skills from online KZbin tutorials or paid courses. The theoretical knowledge, like math or data structures and algorithms (DSA), is very important, which is why I think a BS in CS is a better option.

I am currently working in a software house in Islamabad and let me tell you the most common job is basic developers because most of the companies in Pakistan are project based/services company and they just need good web developers and mobile developers. People who know JavaScript, python etc. But honestly I believe that in future programming itself won't have scope and the scope will be around problem solving and critical thinking.
