1) She said she was happy because Claire was doing well enough in Europe. 2) She said she was getting married with Simon and she was officially engaged now. 3) He suddenly stopped and looked at Sarah, when they were walking home. But he was looking at her not as he usually does. He was too seriously and he asked if she would marry him. Yes, I think it was quite romantic, because it was unexpected, and in that place where Sarah has never thought. 4) Yes, I'm sure that Claire very happy for Sarah!

1. Sarah thought that Claire might have freaked out and got home as soon as possible because it's a challange to stay in an unfamiliar country with hardly any support. 2. The news Sarah told Claire was that Sarah was engaged. 3. They were walking home, holding hands like two birds. He suddenly stopped and looked at Sarah too seriously than he usually does. He asked if she would marry him. It was so unexpected that Sarah got cramps, no one ever proposed to her, it's such a very important moment in the life of every person. I don't think it was romantic enough... And Sarah own thought it was supposed to happen differently, like going on one knee, opening a box with a diamond ring and everyone all around a happy couple applauding. I also like this picture. Maybe many of us imagine the marriage proposal this way). But to my mind how Simon did it wasn't romantic at all... I hope Sarah is not offended that it happened like that 4. Of course, how could she be not happy for her best friend?! And I think Claire is dreaming about the same thing...)

Thank you so much Elena ! Here is my homework )) : 1. Sarah thinks that it's a challenge for Claire to stay in unfamiliar country all alone, with hardly any support. 2. Sarah told Claire that she was engage to Simon. 3. On their way home, Simon suddenly stopped and looked at Sarah too seriously than usual asking her if she would be his wife. 4. I am sure that Claire is a faithful enough friend to feel happy for Sarah.

The lesson is too good for me! Feels like I'm not worthy of it) 1. Sarah though Claire would come back home ASAP; 2. She told Claire that she was engaged; 3. Simon proposed to Sarah in private. I think he did it right. Such events shouldn’t take place in public; 4. I think Claire is kind and friendly enough to feel happy for Sarah. Anyway, she must envy her but without any hatred I guess.

1) Sarah didn't expect Claire to continue her journey through Europe. She thought Claire would return home right after the weekend in Paris. 2) It turned out that Simon proposed to Sarah. And now she is engaged. 3) Simon and Sarah were walking down the street holding hands. Suddenly Simon stopped and looked at Sarah seriously. Then he said: “Will you marry me?” That was it. Without a diamond ring, with a cheering crowd around them. I guess a man's intentions are more important, but a little more romance would not hurt. 4) I think Claire has found herself and, having reconsidered her views, is now on the right track. These circumstances will allow her to rejoice in her friend's happiness.

1. Sarah thought Claire might freak out and get home ASAP. 2. She told she had engaged. 3. Simon proposed to Sarah in a lonely lane with rare passers-by. It's romantic enough, isn't it? 4. I think she is excited of the news and very happy for her friend.

Based on everything I have read, Claire will have ambivalent feelings.

1 Sarah thinks that Claire is pretty brave girl as she decided to stay in unfamilar country completely alone. 2 Claire got know that Sarah is going to be married 3 Simon just looked at Sarah and made propose to her. Of course it is not romantic enough but any way he well done. 4 Sometimes her friends have different troubles and Claire suffer of it i mean the history with Sarah missing. But i sure all of them are faithfull friends.

I'll try to answer all the questions 1. Sarah, speaking about Claire's life in Europe, notes that Claire is doing well in Europe. Sarah believes that it is a challenge to stay in an unfamiliar country alone with hardly any support. I must say that Claire passed this challenge with honour shoe patience will and ingenuity. 2. Sarah had important news for Claire that had happened in your life. This news is such that it completely changes the life of any woman. It turned out that Sarah was engaged to marry Simon and start a family. 3. Simon proposed to Sarah in an unusual way and it was unexpected for Sarah. Everything that happens to people when they get married is perceived emotionally and in a different way than in ordinary life. No one had ever made such an offer to Sarah before and then all of a sudden she got it from a man she loved and cared about. What should she do here? Sarah thought the marriage proposal should have happened differently. 4. In my opinion, Simon's proposal was open private expected and romantic in its own way. 5. The way I see it, Sarah and Claire are real friends. Naturally, Claire is happy for her friend that her fate is so successful her life is changing for the better and a family is being created.

1. Sarah said that Caire was doing surprisingly well in an unfamiliar European country without any support. She expected Claire to freak out and go back home soon after she came to Vienna. 2. Sarah told Claire that Sarah's boyfriend (and also Claire's landlord's son Sam) had proposed to Sarah and now they are engaged. 3. Sam suddenly proposed to Sarah while they were walking along an empty street. Sarah thinks it was barely romantic because there was no beautiful diamond ring or applause. But maybe Sam was overcome with emotion he had never felt before, so maybe it was romantic enough. 4. I think Claire is both happy for her best friend and jealous of them as she usually does. P.s. Why is it "everybody WERE supposed to applause"? Is it some kind of a conditional sentence?

She thinks Claire is good, living in unfamiliar place it is not easy. She is engaged. It is big news. It is not romantic at all. But who says that have to be romantic. I hope Sarah is sure about her decision that is matters. Claire of course happy unless Sarah is not good friend

@okenglish-practice
@okenglish-practice 3 жыл бұрын
@aleksi6166
@aleksi6166 3 жыл бұрын
@okenglish-practice
@okenglish-practice 2 жыл бұрын
