Really insightful with a depth that was revealing to me. I have Ketu conjunct Shani in the 9th. I became strongly influenced by spiritual teachings at an early age, joined an ashram to become a sanyasi, and left after becoming disillusioned. Now in Rahu Mahadasha after having rejected money and material ambition my whole life, am suddenly contemplating a turn in a material direction! One of the best videos on the 3rd/9th Rahu/Ketu axis! I have watched many videos on this and most of them give preachings on how to respect your gurus and follow religious practices with the Ketu placement in the 9th. I feel people with this placement have already been blind followers of faith/religious figures or disillusioned in some way in their past lives. So in this lifetime, we are meant to use our intellect (3rd house Rahu) and go beyond blind faith.

My husband has Ra in 3H (saggitarius), never stepped out of his house till first 21yrs, then Ra mahadasha started and he came to USA, some travel for 4-5 years and again very little travel. Doesn’t talk to his father unless needed, very strong beliefs of his own which he doesn’t change despite wrong, kind of superstitious in several areas. Oh Sir, I have Ketu in 9th in Leo and sun in 5th house in aries. I am from Peru and Parents are from a japanese new age religion, till 12 age I practiced transmiting energy from hands and believed all the myths of their religion, after reading all the books of Freud that were in dad's library, I convinced myself it was all cultural and my entire perception of my reality changed completely, and I became hard atheist. I have this placement (D1) and I thank you for putting out this very detailed lesson. I felt my consciousness resonating with your words throughout the video. Of all the videos I have watched so far, yours perfectly explained this tug-off war that goes on in my mind about modern science vs ancient wisdom, established religion vs self spirituality, herd mentality vs being a social outcast, upbringing vs self guided development, skill development vs conventional education, materialistic desires vs higher consciousness, fate vs freewill and worldly attachments vs outer body experiences. It is not a pleasant state of mind esp. during teenage and early adulthood years. It's only after approaching late 20s that things began to take shape for me. And yes then it hits...the entire belief system down in the dumps! I enjoyed watching this video :) I do have a question. In the hierarchy of kama, artha, dharma and moksha, the 3/9 placement splits the body and the mind between making a harmonized choice. While the mind yearns for achieving social justice, honor, service, spiritual awakening, arts and the nature; the body feels stuck in this physical dimension of desires, attachments and possession. Is this state natural to 3/9 placement and how can one realize the true path towards their karma in life through the understanding of rahu and ketu? Wishing you the best!!

As someone Saturn and Rahu in the 3rd house everything that you said was very true, friend. I am extraordinarily courageous. I am so enthusiastic on taking any sort of action. Nothing frightens me at all. In a way, I feel like someone who has ventured into hell with my courage and am currently on my way out of it. Nothing upsets me more than people who spend a whole lot of time deciding, weighing all possible outcomes before taking action, as if the output has to be guaranteed for the first step, the initial action, to be taken. In my mind the outcome means nothing; the action, everything. As for religion, (and really just about everything really) I have studied so many things, but believe in absolutely nothing. It is as if I have the seed of a critic inside of me at all times, and the minute I start doing something that seed gets all the resources that it needs to turn into a tree, and the next thing that you know I am breaking away from what I wanted to do and am off to do something else, as if I have gotten all I needed and nothing more satisfactory can come from pursuing things further. This has happened again and again to me until I realized that all of these subjects are just impractical when it comes to actually living life. Once I realized the impracticality of it all then I was no longer fascinated by anything at all. It was all a great disappointment. Everything became a deception that succeeded in deceiving everyone else, but me. Thanks so much for this. Really appreciated.

Really really insightful video. I was waiting for this for some while. I'd like to know more on how to balance it's energies.
