I totally agree with your assessment about Alayah's count selection 17:35. I never could figure out the right word to explain it before but "experimental" definitely fits the bill; sometimes the counts she throws look "off" or questionable during the songs from a viewer standpoint, but she still somehow manages to make it work. She's very unpredictable in both a traditional and non-traditional sense or like you said experimental.

M4 ggs actually looked good it was just the captain’s execution and the band’s placement with the flag girls (which I know ggs have no control over). Captain just has to put some more energy and spunk into the counts cause watching her throw them is so underwhelming but then her team delivers it perfectly. and Settes are just unmatched so theres that ig 🤣🙃

I think it’s a formation call thing. On faster counts they still do row by row so might just be a call.
