It's not accurate completely, Coal India, TCS, GAIL, SAIL, NALCO, ITC, ....they all provide some percent as dividends probably annually or biannually and they have shown relatively good growth as well. It's better to research and verify, nothing is factual in market.

Bro ioc was at 130 to 140 a d then they gave 1:1 bonus and thats why the price got adjusted to rs 65 or 75. But the amt of shares doubled while the price was cut to half and the invested value remained the same

Dividend are not bad if u dont spend that money thinking of it as additional money, i reinvest the dividend money back into markets (not in same stock, but in market) This way i dont see it as a bad thing, a company not expanding isnt as bad as a company unnecessarily expanding without actually growing in true sense

There is no benefit in reinvesting dividend Money into company, since a huge amt of profit has already gone to govt as a corporate tax on declaring dividend. moreover, dividend received by individual is subject to personal income tax. In sum, a portion of your profit has already gone to the government.

There’s is one more side of it. Instead of going for assume growth we can go in dividends paying company. Other positive side of dividends is we know that owner and management is really earning money and then distributing (except in loan case). Also many good companies which pay good dividends also appreciate and when the distribute money it’s show their interest towards minority shareholders. But yes buybacks are more effective solution.

I think should invest in company with 3-5% dividend yield having increase profit year on year, after 5-10 year you will get more then 10% dividend and capital appreciation, For me dividend paying is good because in my portfolio stock having more then 3% dividend yield is in very good profit while some good company with 1-2% dividend is in negative return, I have start investing since 2018, Total investment of around 2.4L having more then 120% profit. I have learned so much from your video. Don't know technical analysis much but invested through business only. Learning so much from your video gonna watch all the video in Playlist it help me lot.
