my whole life I secretly always wanted to be a model, but had to accept the fact that I'm a foot too short (sad face). since it's 2020, and times are changing, i want to try an experiment where i try to make my 5 foot self photograph as 6 foot, and see if short girls CAN be hired as high fashion models! if we can photograph tall, isnt that all that matters? so let's see if this works... Sydney Davis Well models (especially runway) are essentially just mannequins for whoever they’re modeling for makes sense that taller people would be sought after. But I agree, while being tall is nice for those types of jobs, I feel like average to shorter height is more accepted in everyday life.

If your back is rounded like most people's it's because your shoulders are rolled forward. To if it you don't need to move your neck. Pulled your shoulders back. This happens because your back muscles are not as strong as they should be and your pectoral muscle are tighten up so they pull your shoulders forward giving you nerd neck. This can be easily fixed by doing 2 exercises daily. When you get up in the morning put one arm up against a door frame and lean into it. Hold for 30 seconds then release and do this for 15 minutes. Half time on one a and half on the other. This will stretch your pectoral muscles. Second you'll need a pully machine where you can pull it towards you like a reverse bench press. Pull it back like you are trying to crush a pencil with your shoulder blades. Do 4 sets of 12 at a weight that makes you feel muscle fatigue by the time you hit 12. Wait 30 seconds then start the next set.

One of The reasons that they only have a certain height and size is because they make drafts or samples of the clothing and they all put them in the same size so then they don’t have to size them separately and like shorten them or alter them ( I don’t mean to be rude )

Yes, exactly! Modeling is not about the models, it’s about the clothes. You don’t fit the clothes to the person, you find a person who fits the clothes. Petite modeling is a thing for petite brands, but mainstream is always going to go for the tall models. Again, it’s all about the clothes and making them look good.

Ashley Marie | Ugh I hate when society now thinks that short is accepted. I’m around 5 ft and I get called out a lot for being short and it’s way common for people that are short to be called out for it. I’d say average height and kinda tall people are accepted since media is now finding ways in embracing tall people but like there still is issues when it comes to relationships. Tall people are usually liked due to their advantage to do stuff quicker with their legs and have nice legs as well. It also means they wouldn’t be able to struggle with reaching stuff or seeing stuff from a distance. All these are benefits of being tall and I could list a few more but otherwise I’d write a whole essay lol. Anyways, when you’re short yes people like it and tease you in a funny cute way for it but like you can really feel very vulnerable and it can really hide your ability in any physical activities. This is the reason for why tall/average height people are pressed over something that they don’t struggle with. Just because you don’t see it happening doesn’t mean it’s happening 🙄

The reason why they don’t have any shorter models is because designers make a general size so that they’re clothes would fit most models and this general make fits taller and thinner models better. It isn’t because taller and skinnier is more beautiful, just easier to make.

Yes and also usually shorter people are more curvy,meanwhile taller people are skinnier and don't have that many curves,i am not saying that if you're tall you can't be curvy but in general that's how it is. I am 170 cm (5 ft 7 i think) and i am a walking stick =)) my friend is 148.5 (4 ft 11 i think) and has curves,like hips,boobs,smaller waist etc.

I’m really short too! I am bullied a lot, as I’m in middle school. I feel quite annoyed, because shopping is supposed to be really fun and cool, but I always just feel awkward because the only things that fit me are clothes for 8 year olds and stuff.
