I still remember watching him performing on Indian idol when I was like 6 years old. On every Saturday and Sunday night my mom used to carry me on her back (piggyback ride) and go at my neighbour's place along with my elder brother and sisters to watch Prashant Tamang's perfomance as we didn't had a TV at that time. As me being from Gorkha community(INDIAN NEPALI) i felt really proud when he won even though I was a small kid😂❤️. Watching him now brings back all those good old memories. Thank you May for making a video with my childhood hero❤️

There are certain regions in Nepal (can’t find which) where the Tamang community’s attire is similar to what he is wearing in this video, which is a Tibetan attire. Because of the ancestry they share with Tibet. In general the only difference in the Tamang dress we see today with what he is wearing is the Chupa. Instead of Chupa they wear a sleeveless jacket made of brocade . And the Tamang Hat. The shirt and the pant are similar.
