I had expected National Award for this movie (Swarnakamala) and Best actor for Saikumar.. The result was much disappointing.. I want to meet Dev Katta once in life.. I have this movie in my laptop.. Never got bored of this movie.. Actually I got into this movie so much that I started writing second part for this with name Mahaprasthanam.. it might look silly but I am just trying tell the impact this movie created.. Wonderful movie. One of the Epics, not a typical Telugu Movie. Very thoughtful, philosophical & deep dialogues. Great talented writer/director Deva Katta. Great acting by Sai Kumar. I think this is his best. Great performance by Sarvanand.

For majority of telugu audience who got appetite only for run-of-the-mill stories, this movie is way too philosophical and intellectual. May be this one is way ahead of its times(2010). Well written and directed.

Love the movie !! I like the philosophical discussions in between the plot. No Dishum dishum, Champesta, Narikesta, Thoda kotte routine dialougues.. A simple philosophical dialogue in this movie quotes.. "Manishi kuda nela mida ralina daggara nunchi, chache daka nuppula manduthune untadu.. !! Aakali tho manduthadu, Kopam tho manduthadu, Korika tho, Irsha tho manduthune eduguthadu. A mantatho kondaru mutu kunna vasthuvulalla tagaleduthu mande sudigundalala edhugutharu.. Enkondaru adhe mantatho Gnananini vethukuntu lokaniki daari chupe dipaaluga velugutharu.. Mind blowing movie. I don't remember similar thriller in Telugu before. Wow. Director Deva Katta is simply superb. He captured the essence of Vijayawada also very well. Sarvanand simply super. For Sai Kumar, I guess one of the best in his career. Sudeep did really well. I am sure he has good future.

This movie well described how Ego manifests in one self and how tricky is the self centered mind - watching this movie is like reading JK and Eckhart's talks on Ego (the power of now) . Expecting a movie from Devkatta on a person who explored the root of the Ego with total attention and transformed into a totally new state of being ( transformation is again a play of ego, I don't have another word to use instead of transformation) - JK - mind without measure, the ending of time, flight of the eagle and other commentaries - just incase if miss to read. The very last scene remembered me of Ayan Rand's last scene in the fountain head
