ইতিহাসে প্রথমবারের মতো বর্ডারগার্ড বাংলাদেশ বিজিবির ৪ হাজার সদস্য সেনাবাহিনীর সঙ্গে যৌথ শীতকালীন প্রশিক্ষণে অংশ নিচ্ছে। এর ফলে যে কোনো যুদ্ধ পরিস্থিতিতে বিজিবি দেশরক্ষার দায়িত্ব পালনে কার্যকর ভূমিকা রাখতে পারবে বলে মনে করেন সংস্থাটির মহাপরিচালক। কিশোরগঞ্জ থেকে ফিরে এসে আরো জানাচ্ছেন মৌ খন্দকার।
