Press fit bottom brackets are hell and sin of bicycle industry creating plethora different standards all of them of squeaking and problems for bike shops and mechanics who hate press fit bb with PASSION!

I followed the instructions for a PF 30 frame. When pressing in the non drive side with the sleeve, the sleeve slid underneath the rubber gasket (it’s not an o-ring) and distorted it. The better way to do this is to press in the sleeve by itself first until it sits in the center of the hole, then press in the non drive side of the bottom bracket.

My Specialized Robaix came with the Praxis OSBB-30 and cransket. No creaks were noted for about the first two weeks of riding. I got caught out in a rain storm, now the BB creaks every time I stand and hammer. Today I tried removing, cleaning, re-greasing (and never seizing the threads) and reinstalling the crankset. I could not do this with the bottom bracket as I currently do not possess the Praxis socket M30 Tool. If I do get the tool, can the Praxis OSBB-30 be removed and reinstalled or do you not recommend reusing the same BB after it is removed once.??

+Butch O You can uninstall/reinstall as many times as needed like a traditional BB. Have your local Praxis dealer have a look at it as it just needs an install tweak.

There's no torque spec, when you feel a hard stop, that's when you stop tightening.

rubber mallet not necessary or appropriate. Metal hammer, as in ball peen would be mo bettah.

They're totally different spindle standards: Praxis Works M30: 30 mm drive-side, 28 mm non-drive side Shimano Hollowtech II: 24 mm

I installed my first praxis BB and did not follow the instructions to the letter, everything went fine. The 2nd time I came to install one I did follow the instructions... one of the seals popped out of the non drive side? So I opened the drive side and another seal split? So I watched this video and tried to remove it with my BB tool like you guys said... all it did was cut a razor sharp split in the soft aluminium body... so now my BB is totally messed up and I can't get it out... I'm literally crying right now and all because I followed your instructions. That's why I gave you a thumbs down.
