When this sermon was preached, I was 19 yrs old and had just committed fornication with a woman I did not care about and barely knew. I had been committing this sin for 3 years almost constantly. Pastor Carter's words stuck with me until today 12:22-14:04 timestamp. I thank God with all my heart for calling me back as a father 😭😭😭All He wanted was for me to be free from my sins and to heal me spiritually. Ironically, after this sermon, I couldnt pray for months. I did stop fornicating, but only 6 months ago did I have a real revival in my life and dove deep into the Word myself. Finally found this sermon again, and it hit me like a truck 😭. My sin is ever before me, I have trampled under foot the Son of God, despised the blood covenant by which I was sanctified, and caused despite unto the spirit of grace. Create in me a clean heart, oh God, renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with thy free spirit. The cognitive dissonance between claiming to be a child of God while also living for myself took away all manner of confidence I had in myself; at times, it felt as if my mouth was tied up and I couldnt speak up.. Praise God for calling me to repent, so He can pull me out of the belly of the whale! Hallelujah to the lamb of God!!! Please if you know anyone who needs to hear this Word of God, warn them. It could save their life as it did mine.

We are all in need of better discernment in our lives and this to me is the truest test of a true Christian. I have lost contact with family members bc I tried to speak to them about their non-Christians ways. I also told them I too was once a daily sinner until God put me on my back for two yrs (2 botched surgeries back to back on left knee). Lord Jesus warns us that it is our responsibility to try and save sinners, and He informed us it will be more difficult to speak about Jesus' salvation to friends and family vs strangers. It has been the truth for me, and I miss my family members a lot.

This preacher has a true heart for people. Amen! I agree that's how I need to start going and approaching Gods word - I need to stop analyzing it, and let it pierce through bone and marrow right down to my soul and let it begin analyzing and dissecting me and change me. Everytime I go to the word, the tormentor comes and wrecks havoc on my mind - telling me you can't understand this its useless trying etc. Let God be true and every man a liar.

I will never rebuke any preacher that preaches Christ as our only Savior and the truth of all scriptures!!! But because of the Holy Spirit, Christ's Spirit residing in me that is our only Teacher, and not man, pastors, teachers or preachers after we are saved and spiritually born again! We are no longer the one that discern between truths and lies, but this discernment comes from the Holy Spirit that resides in you!!! This is exactly the reason why Jesus said, when I leave my Father in Heaven will send to you the Holy Spirit. And this Holy Spirit is not just a saying we have to believe without feeling Him when He enters us. Man, woman are totally relying on feelings in our flesh body living in this world. It's what controls our actions!!! So, for any churches teaching we don't have to have felt the Holy Spirit when He enters us because we cannot trust our feelings, get out and run away from that church. For that matter, no churches is the place to go for salvation! To hear the Word, ok. But salvation is a private alone time with the Word and praying to our Father in Heaven!!! Of course there is exception circumstances but that'' it. The Church congregations comes after you have been saved and became part of it. Anyway, If you believe you are saved and born again spiritually but never felt the power of the Holy Spirit that created the whole Universe enter you to convict you that you are saved, I don't know what else to tell anyone!!!

Its so encouraging to listen to a Pastor who is unafraid to preach the unadulterated Word of God. We can all be forgiven through Jesus Christ once we sincerely repent of our sins but we must also remember that like David there are consequences for our wrongdoing from which we are not spared however if we keep our eyes on Christ we can find joy regardless. We are all flawed humans but like Paul we are urged not to despair but to continue striving toward the mark in spite of our faults!

My heart breaks every time someone I talk to about our Father in Heaven, and they say they are not interested or they "have a relationship with God", "God knows where I stand with him", "i have done enough good works for God" then tell me to stop. I pray for those in sin and do not have Jesus and the Father in their lives. I have one request, please pray for them and for my aunt, she has had brain fluid leaking out of her ear.
