@@GetABeachHouse I really loved that Human in Half track :D I can definitely see the beauty of Absolution too. I actually discovered a lot of new tracks on this mix, :D I've been out of the loop on anything outside of techno or noise music for a while, I had to dive deep in my liked songs lists to find anything witch house, I guess LXST CENTURY's "Flystyler" because it feels like a gritty reboot of the Bomfunk MC's song it remixes. More phonk than witchhouse but it would probably work in a wh mix :) Been busy working and then making my own music if I was alone enough to do it :D

@@homeopathicfossil-fuels4789 Hah, unbelievable - I have known this Flystyler track already, because I heard it in a phonk mix, but I never knew how it was called :D It stood out to me because of that combination of nostalgia and wh vibe, the first of which is obviously caused by the Boomfunk MC sample .. so thanks for fulfilling my wish! :) And I am glad you enjoyed the mix and kept through all the way untill Absolution, which is a masterpiece imho (the artist labelled it witchgaze and I think this fits perfectly:)) Cool to learn that you are still working on your own musical stuff! I know it's often hard to find the time, but it's great you stick to it, my Ghostfriend 👻😉

@@GetABeachHouse You are welcome! The gaze sound is definitely a powerful one. Witchhouse started as a joke term, but now it really does feel like a "Witch house" like in H. P. Lovecraft's short story "Dreams in the witch house" that describes witches as a sort of hyperspace traveller, and the house the protagonist spends a few nights in as an incidental junction of many worlds, because despite witch-house being considered a form of post-industrial, it does smoothly transition into gaze and wave genres. Its that disassociated focal point of a lot of style of music at once, memphis -> finland -> melbourne and back around. Beautiful!

@@GetABeachHouse Oh wow this is pure MAGIC just as I read your response to Flystyler I -finally- discovered the name of a really good thump I have been trying to find for a few years now, its "Rampage" by Bollmann, found it in a HATE Podcast and couldnt stop listening to it for exactly just that track. Its got everything I am loooking for in a good thump, snare rolls, style shifts, stop rhythms, and perfect delivery of all of it. Like a tornado from the dystopia mix that picked up a bunch of angry xenomorphs on meth and threw them at a boring trance festival
