Sairam. After my father late Brigadier Bose had completed construction of the Sarva Dharma Stupa Stamba for Swami's 50th birthday in 1975, Swami asked him if a large building could be constructed on filled up soil. Father informed Him that he had experience of construction in poor soil conditions in his Army career. He further said that if it was Swami's sankalpa nothing was impossible. Father was given the task of constructing the Brindavan Hostel building in January of 1976 to be ready before Summer Course of 1977. The extra floor seen in this building is due to a Raft Foundation being used instead of the usual individual foundations for each RCC column.

Dear Brother Arvind, During the early 1970s, that pond like structure was being used by our beloved Swamy during special ocassions to address the devotees. At one corner of the top of the pond there used to be tree under which Swamy's chair used to be put and swamy used to address the devotees from there. Once swamy said that this tree where swamy used to stand and address the devotees was a very holy place because many years earlier a very holy sage had sat over there and undertook JAPA. That is the reason even today that basement of the hostel is being used to do students bhajans and prayers and suprabhatham. I am very very very privileged and fortunate to have worked there as a seva dal volunteer when that Walter Cowan Block was constructed. I have seen and experienced lots of wonderfull miracles during that time. Most Divine and thrilling experiences ever. Jai Sai Ram
