PRAYER GUIDE FOR NEW MUSLIMS!!!

This is a very nice STEP-BY-STEP prayer guide to teach new muslims the correct w...ay of prayer :)!!! It is a really nice and made easy animation :)!!! This video is for TWO Rakaats... this is only applicable in Fajr prayer and the other 2 Rakaat prayers... In prayers which are 3 or 4 Rakaats you should return back again to the upright position from the sitting position AFTER THE WORDS WHERE YOU SAY: "Ash'hadu An La ilaha Illa Allah wa Ash'hadu Anna Muhammadan Rassol Allah"(the words which you pointed your finger in :)!!! Then in the 1 or 2 remaining Rakaats you pray with Surah Fatihah ONLY without the short Surah and then continue and finish the prayer as it was stated here :)!!!

+john smith if it's a physical issue, you can do the standing up portion of the prayer as you usually do. Then go onto ruku (hand on knee) portion of the prayer, then stand back up, and when it's time to go onto Shizdah (sujood, same thing, different name, Im bengali, that's what they call it in my language) you sit on a chair which you previously place behind you (at whatever distance that is comfortable to you) and bend forward ( a lot like ruku, almost like a sitting down Ruku, and do your designated part from the chair on thereafter, Stand back up when required, and sit back down when time for sujood again, and do your salam from the chair. Many elderly people do it around me, in many mosques; with age comes physical limitations. Allah knows best.

Yes! What a lovely answer, mashallah! I feel the same way. I think it's so wonderful how Allah reveals truths to us. No one taught me why we must pray, I just felt like it is the right thing to do. Allah knows what we don't and he knows our nature. By not constantly praying, we are likely to stray and start forgetting. Prayer benefits US, not Allah.

I'm an agnostic. I don't follow religion, however I find it interesting. I don't think I'll ever follow a supernatural force, but Islam is definitely an interesting religion to analyse. That Jihad part is total bunkum though...i'm 24, born and raised as a muslim, took religion class and still goes to mosque but trust me dude no one has ever told me to hate on non-muslim or kill them. In fact, it's actually the opposite. I know that people like to bash prophet Mohamed because it's the kool thing to do these days but here's a passage from his last sermon. "All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves." Also here are some of the warning to stop muslims from mistreating non-muslims: "He who unfairly treats a non-Muslim living in a Muslim State, or undermines his rights, or burdens him beyond his capacity, or takes something from him without his consent; I will be his opponent on the Day of Judgment." "Whoever kills a non-Muslim citizen under a Muslim government shall not smell the fragrance of Paradise." "Christians are my citizens, and by God, I hold out against anything that displeases them. No compulsion is to be on them. Neither are their judges to be removed from their jobs nor their monks from their monasteries. No one is to destroy a house of their religion, to damage it, or to carry anything from it to the Muslims’ houses." "The Muslims are to fight for them. If a female Christian is married to a Muslim, it is not to take place without her approval. She is not to be prevented from visiting her church to pray. Their churches are to be respected. No one of the Muslims is to disobey this covenant till the Last Day." "Whosoever shall annul any one of these decrees, let him know positively that he annuls the ordinance of God." There you go, but as you can see what we are seeing the complete opposite in some part of the world (looks at Saudi Arabia).....Some wealthy folks are much more interested using religion as a weapon use it to stay at power.

I need your advice as well because I am losing faith in Allah and I never pray. I told him that he has never given me any happiness in my life so why should I pray for him. I have nothing to keep me going in life as I have no job and no one that loves me. Bad things happen to me and I have accepted the fact that I can be homeless at any time or eventually. Also I do not believe in heaven or hell. I believe things happen in this world and I have done so much good when I was a nurse and I have had enough of giving and never receiving back. When you read Scripture pay attention to it very carefully and try to understand the commands of Allah and do not follow your desire. Whoever do so, perhaps he will never get the guidance of Allah. Instead the guidance comes from other than Allah. For example let us consider the so called direction of prayer. According to Quran "qiblah" means a dwelling/community bounded by a particular faith. It consists of houses assigned for dwelling and for a central mosque/sanctuary [masjid al-haram for Muslims, see verse 2:142-151 in this regard] used to preach that faith as given in the following verse in reference to honorable prophet Musa: [10:87] And We inspired to Musa and his brother, "Settle down your people in Egypt in houses and make your houses "qiblah" and perform salat and give good news to the faithful ones in Allah." This verse says about performing salat but does it says that "qiblah" is direction of salat? One author translates it as " ... houses [facing the] qiblah ..." - why houses need to face qiblah? Are the houses performing the salat? This is just an example how desire can lead to a ridiculous conclusion. The Quran denies the need of any direction for salat in verse 2:177 directly where salat is also mentioned in the same verse, and also in 2:115, 2:142. So, one perhaps will never understand the meaning of these verses if he doesn't listen what Allah says, instead one just follows his own desire or the desire of his forefathers or the mass. The Quran mentions about such assumption made by the mass in the following verse: [6:116] And if you follow majority of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way approved by Allah. They follow nothing but assumption and they are nothing but falsifying. [Matthew 7:13-15] "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Beware of false prophets. They come to you in disguise of sheep, but in their hearts they are vicious wolves." Allah mentions about the heedlessness of man and it is probably the most emotional verse in the Quran: [7:179] And We have certainly created many of the jinn and mankind for Jahannam. They have hearts with which they do not understand, they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear. Those are like cattle; rather, they are more astray. It is they who are the heedless. Truly I tell you if you want to understand the words of Allah you have to born again without desire or preoccupied concept. Truly I tell you when you realize the real meaning of the verses of Allah, you may find it far from the assumption and opposite to falsification. The Scripture of Allah is a great source of wisdom and it is not for the heedless or for those in whose heart there is disease because they disregard the Quran. However I respect your belief as everyone is free to choose his belief. It is just a reminder. [18:29] And say, "The truth is from your Rab, so whoever wills let him believe and whoever wills let him disbelieve." If you want to know about prayer from remnant of Injeel then read Matthew chapter 6 and you will find the real prayer which is in harmony with the Quran if one considers that "sujud" means "to become submissive" and "ruku" means "to become humble" which are given in Lane Arabic English Lexicon along with some physical movements as alternate meanings. So these two words can be related either with "actions of heart and soul" or with "actions of physical movement". And Quran explicitly forbids physical movement because it is a source of distraction for meditation or concentration in the following verses and also mentions who does that: [4:142-144] Indeed, the hypocrites think that they deceive Allah, but He requite their deceit to them. And when they stand for salat, they stand without earnestness to be seen by the people and do not meditate on Allah except a little, moving back and forth between this distraction - not to these, not to those. And whoever Allah leaves astray, never will you find for him a way. O you who are faithful in Allah, do not take those who blaspheme against Allah as allies instead of those who are faithful in Allah. Do you wish to give Allah a clear evidence against yourselves? And if you want to know your enemy read Matthew chapter 23. Truly I tell you they are amazing and perhaps they will open your hearts, your eyes and your ears to understand verses of Allah, if Allah wills. So leave their interpretation. Only pagan prefers physical actions rather than actions of heart and soul. And those who invented falsehood in the name of the honorable prophet Muhammad and divided Islam they have absolutely no relationship with the prophet as it is confirmed by the Quran. [6:159] Indeed, those who divide their religion and become sects - you (O Muhammad) are not with them in any way. Their affair is only with Allah, then He will inform them about what they used to do. Peace be on you. May Allah guide us to His truth and not to the falsehood from man. If you do not find anything in His Scripture ask help patiently from Allah and then He will show you what you are not finding therein, if Allah wills. Allah is Ever-Capable to guide everyone in heaven and earth. [James 1:5] If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask Allah, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to you. While performing salat it is fard (obligatory) to keep the buttocks tightly clenched at all times - especially during ruku (bowing) and sujood (prostration). The reasons for this are: - 1. To prevent accidental escape of wind (farting) which invalidates the prayer - 2. Because when in sujood Shaitaan ul-Rajeeb (Satan the accursed) comes in the form of an invisible dog or goat and attempts to bugger the devotee.
