Prayer of Remembrance, Sr. Margaret Patrice Slattery

Our beloved Sister Margaret Patrice entered eternal life on July 27, 2024 at The Village at Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX. Born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 19, 1926, she entered our Congregation on September 13, 1944, professed first vows in 1947 and final vows in 1952. With the exception of being an elementary school teacher in Illinois and Missouri for four years, Sister Margaret Patrice served at Incarnate Word College (now the University of the Incarnate Word) as English Professor, Academic Dean, President and Chancellor until her retirement. She is the author of Promises to Keep, our Congregational history. We thank God for Sister Margaret Patrice and for her many years of dedicated service. We are confident she is now enjoying fullness of life with God.
