Prayer to Fall Asleep and Feel God's Presence | Spoken Bible | Peaceful Sleep and Night of Peace
Cry out for the presence of God in your room; invite Him to be with you and hear your prayer. The Lord listens to all who seek Him and responds to all who ask.
May the Holy Spirit of God be in your room tonight, holding your hand, collecting your tears, and taking them to the throne of God with groans that words cannot express.
Welcome to the Channel. Today, I want to pray for your life; I want to intercede for you.
Leave a comment to let me know what miracle you hope to receive from God; tell us what Jesus can do for you today.
Let's start with an affirmation. Repeat after me with great faith; we'll repeat this phrase three times, so your spirit will be connected with heaven:
When I lie down, I will not feel fear; indeed, I will lie down, and my sleep will be peaceful.

Let us pray: Dear God, as I prepare to rest, I come into Your presence with a humble and grateful heart. Your word in Psalm 4, verse 8, assures me that I will lie down in peace and sleep, for You, Lord, make me dwell in safety. I am immensely grateful, dear God, for the privilege of communicating with You and finding comfort in Your presence.
I am thankful that I can draw near to You and cast all my burdens and worries upon You, knowing that You care for me, as promised in 1 Peter 5, verse 7. I thank You for Your promise in Psalm 55, verse 22, where You encourage me to cast my burden on You, and You will sustain me, never allowing the righteous to be shaken.
I praise You for the promises You have faithfully fulfilled during my waking hours. I thank You for Your faithfulness in fulfilling Hebrews 13, verse 5, where it declares that You will never leave me nor forsake me. I am grateful for all the blessings You have poured out upon me during my waking hours.
I thank You for the precious gift of life, a life filled with purpose, joy, abundance, and peace. I am grateful for my family, for my friends, for their love and support, and for all those who touch my life in meaningful ways.
Beloved Father, for all the times during my daily tasks that I forgot Your presence with me, I ask forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ. Please forgive me for every moment of complaining or murmuring and for those occasions when I forgot that I am Your handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which You prepared beforehand that I should walk in them, according to Ephesians 2, verse 10.
Forgive me for not remembering, in the face of challenges, that I am more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ who loves me, as written in Romans 8, verse 37. For every mistake I have made, I ask Your forgiveness and seek strength and wisdom to learn from each one.
Dear Lord God, according to Your word in Psalm 17, verse 8, please keep me as the apple of Your eye and hide me under the shadow of Your wings. In alignment with Isaiah 4, verses 5 and 6, cover me with Your glory, a cloud of smoke by day and the brightness of a flaming fire by night. Be a shelter over me and a defense of divine love and protection. Please protect, guard, and guide me during my hours of sleep, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Watch over me, my family members, and my loved ones. Keep us safe from all harm, whether visible or invisible. Protect us and guard us from fear, worry, anxiety, restless thoughts, and negativity. Lord, replace all these negative thoughts with peace, rest, hope, joy, and tranquility. Wash us with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, as stated in Philippians 4, verse 7.
Lord Jehovah, I ask that You command Your angels to enter our presence, surround us, and protect us during our rest tonight, in the name of Jesus Christ. Your word in Psalm 91, verse 11, promises that You will give instructions to Your angels concerning us to protect us in all our ways. Your word in Hebrews 1, verse 14, makes it clear that Your angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation.
Lord God, may the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, the presence of our Comforter, the Holy Spirit, and the presence of Your holy angels envelop us in our sleep and in our dreams. May they be perceived and felt by any evil spirit or devil that tries to disturb us tonight, in the name of Jesus Christ.
