Prayers to the lotus feet of Lord Krishna

This song titled Bhagavan Krsner Pada Padme Prarthana (Prayers to the lotus feet of Lord Krishna) was written by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in his tiny room on board the commercial ship Jaladuta during his first journey to the United States of America in 1965 at the age of 69. He knew no one there, and had no one but Krishna and his spiritual master to depend on. With him he had a small suitcase, 40 rupees and 200 copies of Srimad Bhagavatam, First Canto that he translated into English and self-published.
With him the ancient Krishna consciousness movement came from India to the outside world for the first time.
The song in this video is performed by His Holiness Indradyumna Swami, a disciple of Srila Prabhupada.

This video is heart-warming. It conveys the warmth of Srila Prabhupada's beautiful inconceivable adventure in the hare Krishna movement finally reaching the spiritually bankrupt land of America. He was on board a cargo ship, and even after reaching the shore, remained penniless, and alone in the frigid winter weather for nearly a year, with his imminent great success still hidden in his magnanimous, deeply transcendental heart. Soon enough, however, the reciprocation came from the Lord, and the caring youth came to his side, with full surrender and love in their hearts. They lit the fire in the fireplace of guru and student, guru and child, guru and well-wisher, guru and disciple. The warmth shone in the smile, and great joy of both old and young, Srila Prabhupada, and his followers. Please chant the holy maha mantra. You are blessed. 💟💮💟 There is no other way in this horrid age of Kaliyuga to get out of the suffering and misery that people are accepting as so-called happiness. That happiness is only a tiny temporary relief from all encompassing distress. Real happiness is eternal, blissful and full of knowledge . It has no end. Srila Prabhupada is a shaktya-avesha-avatar. He is empowered by the energy of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. (Shakti)...as such he is the pure representative of Krsna. He is fully spiritual, yet he is not God. Therefore god-man is a misnomer. I'm sure you will someday read the Bhagavad-gita As It Is. That will answer all your questions, or if you have none, you will become simply absorbed in the Absolute Truth, and rejoice that you have obtained such. Then you will share it with all conditioned souls. Hare Krishna.
