If they the deobandi are misunderstanding neck to the neck like u clearly pointed out is it possible u are mistaking feet to the feet. Yes uv explained that one of the sahaba r.a practiced this and we accept his sunnah. is there a hadith to this effect. At the time of Umar r.a he performs 20 rakaahs in taraweeh and we accept and some don't accept

I heard in the video him say 'the people of the sunnah..." when referring to the people who put theor feet together. my question is, are the four madhabs not on sunnah? maybe he said it by accident but it makes it seem as though the other people who adhere to a opinion, with evidence are not following sunnah. there are wisdoms with hadith. we should respect the other scholars with their legitimant views. Aslaamualykum.

I pray home with my father, because there is no mosque. My father is taller than me so we have to do arm to shoulder. Is a prayer invalid if it is not shoulder to shoulder and foot to foot when you pray?

Al-Bukhaari, may Allaah have mercy on him, narrated (683) from Anas that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Make your rows straight, for I can see you from behind my back.” Anas said: “so each of us would stand with his shoulder against his neighbour’s shoulder and his foot against his foot.”

It is related from Maa’mar رحمه الله : Sayyidina Anas (RA) stated “If today I join my foot to the one next to me, then out of repulsion he should run from me like a mule” (Fathul Bari Shara Bukhari, vol 2, p247) If the joining of the feet in Salah was a Sunnah, the Sahaba would never abandon such an action due to anyone disliking it for any reason.

In Salah with Congregation, It is Sunnah to Straighten the Rows by Joining Shoulder to Shoulder and Not Feet to Feet. Just as it is not related anywhere from the Prophet (saw), after his demise, those who were given the responsibility of leading the prayers have not encouraged by speech or action the joining of the feet to feet or ankle to ankle. Nor did they enforce or propagate this amongst the masses.

So if you’d respected sone oft else’s belief and let him stand the way he wanted there wouldn’t be an issue but u salafis the saved sect have to enforce people your way

Hatred and repulsion of an action is done in that respect where an action is not advised/liked in Salah. The dislike of joining feet is not a recent action but existed since the time of the Sahabah. The action of joining feet prevents solemnity and submissiveness in Salah due to the distraction.
