Praying In The Spirit - Part 2

I received the Holy Spirit just a few days ago and these series have helped me learn to study the Word more thoroughly. I just wanted to know the mysteries that come with it. I'm new in Christ and I had no idea that He could work so quickly. It took me by surprise because I was praying for someone else and she turned it around and prayed for me! Oh, the JOY! The AWESOMENESS OF JESUS! Thank GOD for the teachings that the shepherds bring us to help us become closer to Him! I'm so thankful to belong to such a loving church family that we pray for each other without provocation! I was praying for my teenage stepchildren whom I love but have stepped back from after the divorce from their father. One is so misled and angry and it feels as if the evil one has full control, but I know this child from a toddler and know that before all the things he went through that I saw the presence of love in him, now he has a spirit of conceit, deception, and impulsivity that leads to horrible acts and no knowledge of how it hurts others. One has been hurt so badly that she has such a defensive spirit that she's built up a wall with bricks of anxiety, spitefulness, poor judgement in social interactions, and misdirection. The oldest leads a life of strife and pettiness while proclaiming love for others. They are confused and so misled. I wish that I had been saved before and kept them in church. Our God is an Awesome God and I know that if He called me to him in my poverty of justice and love because He wills it, He will call them and save them from their burdens and sins! I believe that this praying was something that I had no idea how I was going to ask Him to perform this miracle when I had a hand in that upbringing, but with those gathered around me, He gave me the Comforter to intercede! I have was full of Joy to be saved, but the presence of The Holy Spirit made me see the majesty of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! I fell to my knees thanking Him, but then it was like I also realized that He is also a loving and merciful father and picked me up to my feet so that I might feel that love! I know that God is going to work His miracle of healing of their broken hearts and souls! I'm claiming it because I know that Jesus can do this because He calls to him those who are so broken by their iniquities and sufferings and gives them peace and mercy and salvation!

Thank you brother..my Spirit was absolutely drawn to this teaching today. Thank You Father that You send forth what we need right on time. I've been saved a long time & have & use this gift. I'm only saying this not to boast, but to say, when attacks come like today at times, God will send someone to stir up your Spirit so you can rise back up in Him. After all we have all been going through during covid, the enemy thinks now is his chance to attack the saints. Stay close to each other brothers & sisters. Cover each other in prayer in JESUS NAME. Also, recently the Lord had me interpret tongues at church. The Word was, My children & beloved, the enemy has made it very comfortable to only listen to sermons from home & also caused much fear to keep many from coming to church. Yes, we are the church, but it is at the church building where we gather together & at the place where you received My Son & where you laid down your fears & bondages & heard My voice. Forsake not assembling at My altars. Come back to your first love & I will take back all your fears you have picked back up. Says the Lord.

How do we know if we have received tongues? I keep asking for the gift of tongues but, just really not sure if I have received. I am trying to be effective for Fathers Kingdom and business 💛

@Magda Duszka, if you have received the ability to pray in tongues, you'll begin to speak in another tongue when you pray. Sometimes it starts as just a single word or a couple of words you repeat over and over, but the more time you spend praying in the spirit the more that tongue will develop. When you hear people pray in the spirit and it sounds very developed or like they are fully speaking in another language, it's because they have developed their tongue by spending time praying in the spirit.

Someone had to lay hands on me. I started out saying “shaba dah..” and then my tongue just took on a life of its own. Some days I don’t get out much, and then sometimes all sorts of syllables come out and I have to catch my breath. I’ve noticed that most people have a “trigger” sound that starts their tongues.... mine are “shaba” “shee-la” and “shora”... saying those words as I think of my prayer to the Lord triggers tongues to take over.

Asking and seeking. Each of us receive The Holy Spirit differently as we still have the flesh in us. However, The Spirit is all the same. Our duty is to fully surrender all flesh and be prepared to receive Him. The Holy Spirit will give you the ability to speak in tongues when you are ready to receive it. You cannot convince yourself of your readiness. That is the flesh telling you that. My pastor does not necessarily believe in speaking in tongues. But, I looked for counsel about sometimes when I pray, bits and pieces, or repetitiveness of words have occurred. My pastor told me it was more like groans which are applicable to The Holy Spirit speaking. Regardless, we must remember to receive what The Holy Spirit gives us and continue to let Him dwell in us and lead us as according to His plans. Amen

I do sometimes when I’m prophetically praying with an intercessory team and i don’t know what to pray for next. Often praying in the spirit will bring to mind the next thing to pray for.

Yes. I do. I pray and sing in the spirit during worship. I believe Satan knows how powerful this and all gifting’s are and he tries and defeat us with doubt and fear. If I feel Holy Spirit leading me I will step out in obedience

Yes, happened to me in church, me and another lady speaking out in tongues like a conversation, I felt different emotions but ended in joy
