Kesley if at any time you are eating/ drinking soup snd it is to hot instead of burning your mouth put some of the food in a plate so it can cool faster , during that time the soup will be getting cool so you can take piece by piece from the plate and put back in the soup

My dad used to do that. His soup and CORNMEAL porridge were always kept hot to the last drop.
