PRE-CRUISE DAY IN BARCELONA, SPAIN!

We took a pre-cruise day in Barcelona, Spain, prior to embarking on, for the first time, Norwegian Cruise Line's (NCL) ship, Epic, to the Mediterranean.
Took advantage of NCL's Free-At-Sea promotion which included airfare, 2 for 1, on economy class. Unfortunately with this promotion, travelers have no control and preference over what airlines to use, what flight schedules to take, nor having the option to select seats. The food and service was satisfactory.
Upon arrival in Barcelona, we went straight to the Holiday Inn to settle in. We are IHG members (parent company who owns Holiday Inn as well as other hotel chains) and always take advantage of our membership benefits as much as we can. Afterwards, we explored the surrounding area and dined at this hidden gem of a tapas bar off a side street.
Barcelona is beautiful, so much to see, eat and do. It's a fantastic walkable city to get my daily steps in, too!

I just saw your video today. Thank you for posting it. I will be sailing RCCL out of Barcelona next fall and I am starting my preparation. Also, thank you for answering hhuynh's question. I was wondering the same thing and have been looking for a hotel to stay for pre-cruise 2 night.

Hello, I don't recall the exact amount, but I think the taxi was around E20-E30 (included tip) from the airport to the Holiday Inn. Have fun on your cruise!
