Love your videos. I grew up in Goshen, IN in the 60's/70's, and miss my summer tomatoes. Living in Alaska now, as "cool season" grass as you get.

I find that doing a good pre emergent app in the spring really saves the hassle of chasing weeds all season. Great information and well presented

What backpack sprayer and nozzle do you use? Thanks in advance!
@TheLawnLover Жыл бұрын
I use the Petra HD 4000 backpack sprayer with the teejet flood tip. This combo works great for pre emergent applications. Thanks for watching!

Did this turn the lawn white like the tenacity? How much longer did this last than tenacity? Can this be sprayed throughout the year? How long do you have to wait for people and pets to walk on? Thanks I hope this is better than tenacity
@TheLawnLover5 ай бұрын
Prodiamine will not bleach the lawn white like tenacity. I would not recommend tenacity as a pre emergent unless you are using it during seeding. I apply prodiamine as a split application in the spring and it will provide a barrier through the fall to prevent weeds. I highly recommend prodiamine it has worked fantastic for me. Thanks for watching!

@@TheLawnLover I use the Scott's crab grass in the early spring and that lasts till mid summer. So I'll give this a try. How long does this work for typically? You said you use it as a split application. Does that mean you're using it once in the spring and once in the fall or are you applying this with weed-b-gone or speed zone?
@TheLawnLover5 ай бұрын
@henrypoth369 I take the spring application and split it in half - applying 30 days apart. There are annual maximums for prodiamine on various turf types so you can split it between speing and fall if you want. You can also use dithyipoyr in the fall as well.
