Yo! I’ve recently taken interest in your it channel and the admission process to BSMD/DO programs. I’ve been crunching the numbers and have been putting together a resume. I’m a sophomore in hs and my gpa atm is 3.8. I know that’s pretty low, but I’ve also been building my extra curriculars. So far I’ve got: 2 research projects (one of them through my school) Volunteering w/ patient interaction Shadowing Sports medicine club, science Olympiad, cross country and basketball through my school Fundraiser planned for children’s hospital I know that’s a lot lmfao but these are super selective. Do you think I’m competitive?

Hello. Could I get your opinion on my specific major and minors combination? I am majoring in Psychology and minoring in both Biology and Chemistry. Do you think medical schools won't value my gpa as much because I'm majoring in Psychology? Or will my 2 minors help them see that my gpa has been hard to achieve and thus is not underestimated? I have a 3.93 GPA and I am taking additional units to my university's maximum each semester. Thank you for the help.

Fundamentally, it has the same issues as other types of engineering... definitely don't recommend it

Probably the best engineering major you can take if you want to go to med school. Be warned you’ll take a lot of the other majors’ tough classes like statics, thermo, transport processes, and (fluid) mechanics, so like he said it’ll be hard to prepare for application into med school. However, if you end up not wanting to go to med school you do have an engineering degree in a burgeoning field so your job prospects won’t be as bad as if you got a BS in biology or genetics.
