Nah that's pretty much the price expected. In fact comes to 600 for the horse and 175 for the figure. This ain't your cheap Origins figures.

@Dented_Battle_Armor It's made up of the same cheap plastic as origins. The only saving grace is the paint applications. I have seen custom paint origins figures that rival mondo.

@Atlas-hu9wk nah man. The plastic Mondo uses is way way more solid and hefty. I am in injection molded plastic manufacturing. I do know the grade of plastic they use. And the sculpt is way sharper than Origins. The paint apps also factors in a lot in the costing. Those custom painted Origins done by fans aren't cheap too. Mondo is expensive and yes they are not Hot Toys quality. But they are most def a huge jump from Classics Masterverse and Origins. And they are made in much smaller quantities. Those tooling ain't cheap.

@sunnyssundries it's simple. These are finer quality figures. They cost more to make. If u manufacture a product that costs more, are u as a business gonna sell below your cost or at a bare margin to worth the trouble? Exactly. Bills have to be paid, licensing have to be paid. And u also need to make a profit for your effort.

These two figures look amazing! It is well priced too, and I like that you get a bundle saving. The only thing missing from this set is the key to Castle Grayskull, which is an iconic accessory of Scareglow. This accessory does come with the previous Scareglow's released in this line. That is probably my only nit pick, everything else about this is incredible, bravo Mondo!

You know deep down it's not well priced. People Who pay these ridiculous prices, Are the reason why we keep seeing these Ridiculous prices evolving into even more ridiculous prices. It's like super 7 charging $25 for a 3.75" reaction figure. It's just moronic. This Figure at best should cost no more than $125 at most $150 . It's deep down a toy, a toy they designed for adults i get, but still a toy none the less.

I missed out on the first two Scareglow figs from Mondo, and while I'd like to get the previous one that was more his classic design, this new one's pretty sweet with all the new sculpted details.

Scare-Mare looks huge with those wings!! That Scareglow looks pretty good and I really like the heads it comes with! I hope it fits with the previous Scareglow I just received because I preferred these heads!

timing couldn't be worse, since lots of companies announce expensive things around SDCC. Haslab Rattler, MOTU crowdfunder (well, this is expected), and now also a timed Mondo release? And they all need to be paid around the same time?

Yeah, I don't know why two companies would both launch competing MOTU product at the same time with a limited pre-order window right after SDCC. Space them out a bit. They are targeting the same fan base.

Figure should be $250, but 275, whatever. $600 for the mount? And $775 for the bundle? The horse then is basically priced as a Battle Cat/Panthor and Scareglow is full price. Seriously, 250 the figure, 450 the horse, 600 for the bundle. Basically the horse on it‘s own is where the bundle should be priced at. $650 at the very max. But 775? Pass, and getting the figure only. Yes, the price is scarier than anything else.

@@MikoDarkblade Afaik 275 was the price of the Beast-Man, and that was a „king size“ figure. 235 was the price of the Teela, which is pretty much on the same page. The cats were 500$ each. Yes, the horse has got wings, but in total the cats had plenty of volume, accessories and articulation. And btw. what does the Hot Toys Batmobile cost? 700$? Which is much larger in comparison. The Sky Sled for 395 was nuts already. That thing should have gone in a bundle with a new Man-at-Arms figure for 500 total.

@@sunnyssundries What I am not hearing in your analysis is what the product cost of the figure is and the profit margin of all these figures... Sure to you this figure and that figure looks similar size but that does not mean their actual production cost is the same... I think those are the 2 main factors to consider in what makes up the actual price...

@@MikoDarkblade What I do not hear in your analysis is the influence of Funko (remember Mondo figure prices prior to the acquisition), the comparison to other products within the 1/6 scale market, thus any extrapolation. Funko wants to get their investment returned, of course. But they‘ll do that a little too quick. Addendum, And I won‘t list every detail why I see Scare-Glow being in the same price range as a Teela, or Trap Jaw figure because a) wall of text that you most likely won‘t read anyway and b) it should actually be obvious.

Jay... I'm sure you know this and it shouldn't bug me so much... But Scaremare is female. Hence "mare"... a female horse. :P Mondo has even mentioned it if I recall. DAMN, that price is a large horse pill to swallow
