PCs use sled dogs and axe-beaks/terror-birds to move around Ten Towns and Icewind Dale. Horses and donkeys tend to not do so well. The chwingas are one of two introductory quests. The DM can have the PCs sent on a quest to capture a chwinga for a local scientist or track down an undead bounty (no spoilers). Auril, the Frost Maiden goddess from the Forgotten Realms of the title, has 3 forms. The Womb of Winter is one of them.😉

It’s a complex set-up; kind of an expansion on the Legacy of the Crystal Shard playtest WOTC did moving 4e to 5e.

That's what happens when you buy boxed mini's for a specific campaign. You get mini's for that campaign. I'm glad I went with 3d printing.
