Cloud is a pure perimeter player and that does nothing for the team offensive wise you need to score and drive the net

Actually, where I find he struggles is at center - as he needs to cheat for defense and that greatly hampers him. He's much better offensively when he's playing the wing and he doesn't have those defensive responsibilities. I would of sat Carrick but I'm no where near as smart as Knobby and I trust him completely but would of liked to of seen Henny centering Mcleod and Foegle

It was either McLeod or Foegele coming out, but Foegele has been going harder to the net. When McLeod plays a more determined game, he has all the ability to be top-6, yet he fails to do it consistently.

I think DR could come out instead of McLeod and run: 1. Nugent-Hopkins - McDavid - Hyman 2. Kane - Draisaitl - Holloway 3. McLeod - Henrique - Foegle 4. Janmark - Carrick - Brown

McLeod has been distracted for most of the year because of the cloud (no pun intended) of indictment surrounding his brother in the Hockey Canada 2018 scandal. Now that Mike has been arrested and the trial is set to go next month, I am wondering if Ryan's head can be properly properly focussed on hockey for the rest of the playoffs, forget just a game or two. He did NOT take the step up this season that he should have. I'm just saying. ..

That's a good point, I'm sure that is weighing on him for sure. Not sure how close they are as brothers but anytime a family member is in trouble like that it has to bother you somewhat. I'm sure once it's all resolved he can concentrate 100% on his game.

Big mistake to take Ryan McCloud out .Have him right in the rink going to go back to play if Henrique finds out in the worst way he wasn’t ready to play

Stars are the best road team in the league, the Oilers are in trouble if Micdavid plays the way he did in the first 2 games. Absent.

McDavid has to get selfish and shoot the puck at the earliest opportunity. He’s getting too predictable and the opposition simply has to close down the passing lanes. He had 64 goals last year and half of that this year.

Me, I would not take Mcleods speed out, just me, a Fan, never played hockey in my life. However...speed brushes their hair back and keeps them on their back foot more than the front foot.

Speed only works if the guy who has it isnt afraid. Mcleod plays scared to get hit to make a play. Always does it.

@@Dave_Lion I think he plays more like not wanting to be out of position as he plays centre. I find Mcleod a much more affective winger and as such I would have had him playing on the with Henrique and Foegle. If Brown wasn't so damn good on the PK I'd have sat him and had Jan/Carrick/Ryan on 4th line but you can't pull Brown right now for sure. It's nice having this problem - heck a year ago we'd have 3 guys we could sit out and wish all of them could lol

The difference b/w the Oilers & Stars is small so how can the Oilers gain the advantage to win the series? I only see 3 things the Oilers have that Dallas does not have & that’s Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and our power play. We will need these three advantages to show up or we won’t win.
