*KZbin gardener channels are SO SUPERIOR to anything that the commercial TV networks EVER produced.* Those TV show hosts are limited by scripting and the producers who are fixated on ratings. They have very little free choice. YT garden channels have total freedom to create content based on their own heart-felt passion. Huge difference. AUTHENTICITY is what I get with content creators that I choose to watch. Your channel is a perfect example.

I agree. AlthoughI am enjoying "Homegrown" and "Growing Florets" on magnolia network. but KZbin gardeners are more interactive and helpful and more reliable for frequently produced content and its nice to find people in similar zones and stuff, so you're totally right.

One of the things I really appreciate about your videos is that you demonstrate how we can still get the job done even without fancy/new/expensive gear. I was under the impression from watching others that I'd have to create a bubbler or leave my water running for hours in order to soak corms; no one ever suggested it might be as simple as just changing the water every hour! Thank you :)

Even that isn't necessary at all... Soak them... That's task completed...

I am so glad I just watched this! I actually soaked and potted my corms yesterday, and it seemed like roots would come out of the thick round part, I didn't even question myself! Anyway, I just went in the garage and uprighted them. What a relief. Lol

Hi. I’m from England and have grown Anemones for the first time. I pre sprouted them and couldn’t believe the results. The roots were huge. I was thrilled because I haven’t had much luck with Ranunculus due to a VERY wet spring last year. However I’m going to keep on trying. ❤️

Years ago, we loved to watch Crockett's Victory Garden. It was a great gardening show. It was on PBS. We still have Crockett's Victory Garden book and his flower book, too. I still use the Victory Garden Cookbook by Marian Morash. In addition to recipes, she also gives information on how to grow the vegetables she is cooking with.

I am in a much colder climate, so I may need to adjust and look for a spot to properly grow more for next spring. Oh my goodness. The lack if garden shows is so annoying. HGTV used to have gardening shows and now it's all home improvement. I used to love Paul James on Gardening By The Yard. I love Paul Ts World youtube channel. He's in England but he hasn't posted any new videos in about 8 months. I will have to check out the show you mentioned. There was a show on TV called Backyard Envy I think. It was 3 folks in NY who created gardens for people. It had 2 seasons and might be canceled now. I ordered a set of 6 Foxy Foxglove from QVC this year for spring. I am in zone 5B in Maine. I understood them to be a biennial but will flower this year supposedly. Then maybe they self seed? I guess we'll see. :)

I learn so much from your videos! Looking forward to the lily video. I tried to grow stargazer lillies (my fave!) but didn't have great luck. I got a few small blooms. Maybe it was because they were smaller bulbs from Home Depot. 🤷‍♀️ Another variety of lillies I have dove into recently are day lillies. I added several varieties last year, from Sterrett farms (think that was the name...they were in my Garden Gate Magazine) and they did very well for me. Your borders are so beautiful...can't wait to see your gardens wake up. Looking forward to a vitual walk through your garden rooms!

There used to be great garden shows in the US like Gardener's Diary, Gardener's Journal, and Gardening by the Yard. HGTV and DIY Network turned to the garden makeover shows that really have nothing to do with gardening. It's great that we now have access to Gardener's World through the interwebs (I love Carol, too!). Here's a fact: The #1 employer in the US in the US Government. The #1 employer in the UK in the floral and gardening industry. We call what surrounds our home a "yard." In Europe, they call it a "garden."

I don't have a tv or cable any more and have never heard of Gardeners World. Is it on PBS? I used to love Saturday mornings years ago when there would be gardening shows on tv. I used to watch one on PBS, I think, with Elliot Coleman and his wife, from their Maine garden. The P. Allen Smith garden shows were another of my faves, and he has a couple KZbin channels with the old and newer shows. I think Martha Stewart had a show that was just on gardening, and those may be on one of her KZbin channels.
