1:34 slight correction there, 2 of them would die, NOT 1. 6:23 another correction, Reyna was most necessary person for that quest, thus she led that quest. Nico joined her because he can shadow travel and isn't part of the 7. Coach Hedge joins them because 3 is the ideal number for quest and he isn't also part of the 7.
