Preacher is what got me into comics, it's brilliant, and it's still my favourite series I've read. I would recommend it to everyone.

Really enjoy your vids, I like that you show the actual hardcover editions, as well as a review of it's story. Seems like a simple thing, but so many other video's will either talk about it, and never show it, or show it and not say a word. One stop shop for all things of the comic book TPB/Hardcover world right here, thanks for all your work!

Vol 3 of the graphic novels is my favourite. The back story of The Saint of Killers, when his anger extinguished the flames of hell I knew I would love that character forever.

just finished the series. I got the first book after watching this video and oh baby preachers the shit. it's easily my favorite series. my favorite moment is when Jesse sees the Duke for the last time and he says he's proud of him

Very thorough review. I usually struggle to explain why I like.preacher so much without giving too much away or without going off on a tangent, so I'll refer people to this video from now on. Favorite moment is hard to say, but the final encounter with grandma was satisfying.

The lazy art is probably the only complaint I have about this run. But I don't hold that against Steve Dillon, because if you look at the timeline, he was also drawing Garth's 1st Punisher run. 50-60 pages a month is a lot for an artist to churn out.

Preacher is one of the greats, man! I'm really nervous to see what the TV adaptation brings us, despite quite a few positive reviews trickling in. Still, we'll always have the series. I def. need to re-read it and do a show on it in the near future. So many great characters.

I just finally got and read the fifth version of the whole comic in 5 deluxe edition hardcovers. It's an amazing ride and I only would have wanted more satisfying ending with Cassidy (dude had his demons, he kinda was a demon in literal sense but the thing that he would have been a reason for Tulip taking valium and keeping her f'd up to have her didn't really work for me since Tulip asked/begged for him to get her something or she will kill herself so it wasn't Cassidy's scheme and also she gave herself to him in bodily sense. A guy who is an alcoholic and lives only at nights and only knows shady people, Tulip is with him and then is suprised if he got her valium for 6 months just because she asked, so it just felt a bit not cohesive when the six months had suddenly been just pretty much Cassidy's fault like a scheme to keep her sedated. And like for the whole series it was started to set up that Cassidy was a scummy guy towards the end of it and it was mainly confessin love for Tulip which is a big nono but it didn't felt like a gamechanger for the character for me since dude did suffer and help Jesse in ton's of way thru it all so I just tought he was more complicated character than be running under a car burning and let's leave it at that that's his end) but other than that the whole thing is just amazing. It's violent, brutal and at the same time really smart and bonders big toughts in very entertaining way. And even that Cassidy thing wasn't a huge let down but I just felt he deserved his own ending no matter if it's good or bad rather than just a scene but well whatever.

My favorite Preacher moment was when he was Sherrif os that small town and had a run in with the Klan. After He get's them unmasked he makes fun of one of the ugly bastards and says something about the people espousing the superiority of the white race are always the worst of it. Then he asks "Where the fuck is your chin?" Cause the guy had like no chin.

alright so i have a question about this series. what kind of action does it have? like are there shoot outs and stuff?
@nowknowthis8 жыл бұрын
+TheBbrian100 yeah, but they arent every single issue. the story is less about action and more about the characters, a lot of it is hand to hand fighting like bar fights and all that. but there are quite a few awesome shootouts between cops or military and an unkillable cowboy with guns that can kill anything.

What do you think of the casting for Tulip and Cassidy?
@dantecrottogini5299 жыл бұрын
cassady is perfect!
@flickrfade9 жыл бұрын
Dante Crottogini Cassidy is absolutely perfect casting. Tulip I'm skeptical about. I don't know if the race change will feel appropriate thematically given all that Preacher satirizes and how, and also I've never seen Ruth Negga in a role like this so it's hard for me to picture her in it. But I definitely like her as an actress so let's see.

You'd die before getting thru 3 feet of counting every grain of sand on a beach, unless this power would have to relieve its victims of having to eat or drink water to stay alive. Which it does not. I'm just saying, not trying to start a fight with this guy's fans, who probably immediately think I'm talking shit and he needs to be defended. I know KZbin, and I'm not. Seriously. For real CHILL THE FUCK OUT! I'm kidding. But nice video hardcover guy. I can't read the rest of your name while I'm talking bc of this app. Srry.

I'm on book four of the 6, and literally just reading to finish the story. I'm not offended by any of it but it drags on and on. plus it has so many useless gory details with no relation to the story. like making Tulip black instead of white for the TV show adaptation just for the sake of showing diversity.
