I love how you used nearly the exact same outro as you did in the brown video 😂

Aaa the brown/risd program is my dream program and my plan for the brown video is “a tour of my mind” and comparing an animal cell to my mind, all the organelles as parts of me. I’m not sure if I’ll actually do that but it’s my plan for now.

I’ll probably change them by the time I do it, and if someone else remembers this exact idea and gets into brown, I’ll at least know my ideas are good!

Hi! I only took the SAT once and got a 1370. Would you recommend sending this score to a t10 school that is marketed as test optional? I've applied early action already, and I'm just pending on sending my score. Or even could taking the ACT on November 10th be smart?
@preachingp2 жыл бұрын
In this case, don't bother sending the score. For a t10 admissions committee, it won't aid your application but there is a chance it could hinder it. A lot of these schools also have automated systems, and it would be unfortunate if your application was discarded by a computer before even reaching an admissions reader because of an SAT score.

Just curious, since you're also a big j Cole fan, how would you rank his albums? Great video btw

Love this question bro. I think my opinion has changed as I've gotten older, but 2014 forest hills drive is one of the greatest albums I've ever listen to. There is not a song on that project I would change or remove (Top 3 songs: Wet Dreamz, No Role Models, G.O.M.D.). Hot take: a younger me would've put KOD second just because of how much more relatable the trap beats and flows are, but I do think J. Cole raps his ass off in Born Sinner so I have to go with that. KOD is a crazy underrated project in my opinion, and Kevin's Heart is one of my all time favorite songs so I'd put it third. I loved The Off-Season, and I listen to it way more than 4 Your Eyez Only, but something about the songs in 4YEO just hits different man. When I was at my lowest in senior year just trying to keep grinding one day at a time, the song Changes deadass kept me going. Like no lie, my mantra was the bar "my intuition is telling me there'll be better days." I can't say I've ever had a song actually impact my life in a tangible way like that, so this album is def tied third if not higher. The off-season comes next and then the sideline story (no hate at all I just haven't listened to all of J Cole's old songs). Did not think I'd write a paragraph lmao but J Cole is MY GUY. I'm curious about your rankings now bro let me know.

@@preachingp I'm a high school freshman in north carolina. Indian so I'm a tiny, tiny minority in a pretty much all-white school. So you bet 2014 fhd hits me hard every single time. When I moved to NC, I discovered j Cole, and when i was living in a sad, little apartment for a year until my parents saved up for a town house, a tale of 2 citez was the song that kept me going. Apparently and gomd I also loved to death. It's really rare to find another kod fan in the Cole community, and kod gotta be one of the best albums of late 2010s. Friends and window pain are magical songs that I just can't find a single flaw in. Friends is definitely my favorite Cole song oat. I love kods message of the acronym, kod, and its meanings found within the songs. Lyrically, it's the best Cole record. Off season had to really grow on me. I remember, in 7th grade, I discovered Cole, and it was my PE teacher who told me that he was dropping off season in may. The day it came out, instead of listening to my teachers' lessons (this was the all-online year), I would listen to off season the whole day. When it came out, I thought it was pretty good, but not great. I didn't think too much about the album until 8th grade, I was in a new school that blocked Spotify. I had to use this other website to listen to music and the only Cole project on it was off season. So, I listened to off season the whole year, and this was the time when I just moved to NC and into the miserable apartment. The relistens hit me SO HARD. I finally started to appreciate this album. Let go my hand is actually the best song of 2021, and hunger on hillside gotta be a top 5 Cole song. This album really grew on me 4yeo, I love this project so much. Imo, kod is deeper and more emotional, but 4yeo, the song, is a perfect song imo. Such great storytelling and emotional factor. Neighbors and folding clothes are also amazing songs. I honestly think deja Vu is a bit overrated. Born sinner, I only listened to this album once and it was pretty good. I gotta relistens tho as I don't really listen to j Cole songs before fhd. I will relisten this album and explore his mixtapes but for now, imma say it's good. Final ranking imho: 1. 2014 fhd / kod (tied) 2. Off season 3. 4yeo 4. Born sinner (for now)

What do you recommend for freshman to do for BS/MD programs?
@preachingp2 жыл бұрын
Block out half an hour of your day and watch my entire bs/md guide from start to finish. That will give you all the groundwork you need. Make sure you get started on the longer extracurriculars like volunteering as early as possible, and then gain exposure to everything else when it feels natural.

He didn't choose Brown because he didn't get accepted to PLME, but got into the BS/MD program with RPI and Albany.
