Dunno why but I never expected someone saying this on a music video like this.

@@user-zy3dh4cm5r well it really is, all the old Cambos play it, I grew up listening to this song and it’s not like I liked it, I grew up around white people and islanders, but as I got older I started listening to Khmer songs and since then I have a long play list of just old Khmer songs, mainly from the 2000s because new Khmer songs are shit, vocals are trash, and not lyrical

@@Yuaaaur ahhhhh. I know you didn't ask but I grew up around a Cambodian family, but raised as a westerner. I'm recently starting to enjoy these Khmer songs I'd hear my parents and their mates singing karaoke to. The reason I thought this comment was strange here is anyone not Cambodian would say this is music's shit (i don't see any Cambodians in my family saying memes or things from the internet) and most comments I see on these old videos were either Cambodians with broken english or speaking entirely Khmer. Also I'm sorry if this was hard to follow; I struggle getting my point across.

@@user-zy3dh4cm5r no it’s completely fine I understand, feel free to be confident to enjoy the music you love and be you, it took me a while to have the confidence to play Khmer music around my friends and family but they got used to and so did I, I used to be so scared to accidentally play a Khmer song in my car while driving with my friends but now I just play it, and guess what, sometimes they try to dance and sing along, in today’s generation especially Cambodians being born in foreign countries such as France, UK, US, and Australia, they don’t listen to our music, they think it’s disgusting and feel ashamed to play it, they are losing their touch with our culture and I think it’s important to pass this music on to our children and their children and so on, I listen to pretty much everything, rap, drake, future, the weekend, just whatever’s good really, but frequently I find myself listening to Khmer songs, just something about the instrumental, vocals, and the message behind the songs are so unique and different to the music you hear today
